Ah, Talking about numb3rs again, I forgot to say its director is Ridley Scott, the same from "Alien". For those who didn't know, Metroid is supposed to be inspired in "Alien".

I haven't gotten TV for going on 4 years now. Boy am I so much better off. I can't to watch ads anymore. I guess I'm just an old crotchety man, but I absolutely refuse to watch ads. So we get all our required TV by means of the net.

The only two shows I currently watch are Smallville and Lost. No, I don't watch Heroes.
And Venture Bros. is amazing and I love it.

One of my favorite cartoons is Samurai Jack, which I own all the Seasons on DVD. They really wanted to make a movie for it too, but Mako (The guy who did the voice of the lead bad guy, Aku) died a couple years ago so the chances of that movie ever being made are probably slim to none now.

That's about all I watch as far as TV shows go. Everything else is movies or games.

Oh man, I remember that. Great show.
And they used slow motion so much, which showed just how much work was put into every single frame.

Man. I sometimes wish for the golden age of cartoons to come back like it was in my childhood.

The 90's-early 2000's were THE years to watch cartoons.

Back with John Krifaluski (sp) was on fire with Ren and Stimpy, Cartoon Network was enjoying the genius minds behind the Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Lab, and much much more, the Disney channels still had cartoons as the centerpieces of their lineups...

As well as Adult swim coming and taking the network by storm with The Brak show, Space Ghost, Sealab 2021, and all that.

I am such a whore for nostolgia.

1994 was a stellar year for animation. Fox had Spiderman, Batman: The Animated Series, The Tick and Animaniacs, Mainframe had created Reboot, the world's first CGI television series and still one of the best, and would continue with more hits like Beast Wars and Shadow Raiders over the next several years. Meanwhile Disney had shows like Darkwing Duck and Greg Weisman had just started Gargoyles. Afterwards animated shows seem to have dropped off in quality with some exeptions like the DC animated universe and Cartoon Network productions. (Clone Wars is better than the prequel trilogy hands down.) Recently however we've seen some very well put together shows like Avatar and The Spectacular Spiderman.

As far as live action TV goes I watch House; everyone loves a Magnificent Bastard; Bones; David Boreanaz is a pleasure to watch, Heroes and Prison Break; I love a good Xanatos Gambit.
Everyone dies. It is the final and only lasting Justice - Boba Fett

Well since you stated like Batman the animated series, beast wars etc.
Makes you realise what they came from for instance Beast wars is a sequel to transformers but set before, always liked the G1 nod's like Starscream's ghost. Batman animated series was based on Tim Burton's batman films.

Sometimes the really good stuff are inspired by the preivous good stuff like 1984's transformers and Batman films of the 80's.

But I'm gonna say something that I have noticed the last few months is all the crime series that are around and its really starting to annoy me.
For instance CSI sucks but I enjoy Miami and New York versions of CSI. Law and order has like two or three spin-offs and a London one is filming over here. BBC has tons of crime drama's every year.

Death and murder/crimes are really starting to bore me.

Anyone else notice?

Recently I've been watching a lot of The Office, American version. I can honestly say it is the best show I have ever seen. And yeah, I am just as confused as you. It's not the funniest show ever, but I just find the characters so charming, and amusing.

I just love this show :D

Monk, by far the best series on television. It somehow manages to be funny and darkly serious at the same time, and the mysteries are hard to figure out. I also appreciate how Monk has a mental disorder but is still able to do what he loves, and how accurately they portray the police force. I also like it because the people look like people and not models. A lot of people I know have OCD and I think it is a great message to send to them, that they too can do what they like. :)

The only anime series' I could ever get into were Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, and the 0079 Gundam. As for cartoons, it was Darkwing Duck and Gargoyles for the win.

Today my favorite show is Battlestar Galactica! It's just such a shame that it is now over, life feels so empty without it. Though, I do have the complete series collection on Blu Ray to look forward to. My other favorite shows are House and NCIS. I still watch Heroes too, even though it has been pretty bad since season one.

Anyway, anyone else here getting excited about the live action Star Wars TV series thats now in the works?
