I tried so, so hard... And it just came out so, so...
Wrong...
WHAT HAVE I DONE!?
I used that plane instead of a person because I can't draw people well...
Ugh.

Looks like he's sucking energy from a light switch HUnter Metroids are damn annoying to draw. You need just the right level of wibble.

Looked like something else for a second

No love for the Cafe...
Hey, here's a sketch of a woman.
But gasp! She is not extremely busty or attractive! How could I?!

Hey does any one know how to draw crystals anime style? I can draw the shapes, but I want to indicate light source, and that the sides are very smooth.

I suppose you could have a slightly-shaded circle around the crystal, to show that the area next to the crystal is lighter than the surrounding space.
To make it smooth, like round? Or smooth like no bumps?
Either way, I would just make it a pure geometric shape.

smooth like the sides are flat, not like a crystal ball spherical smooth. I can draw the geometric shape, but I would like to create almost windowpane glare on some of the sides.

Eh.
Just draw the glare then.
Don't color in the glare either.

I love how you made the shading on it so line-y yet it hardly matters since it's so big...

Shading crystal... I don't exactly know what shape your crystal is. Is it like a cut diamond? If so, draw in all the facets and color each facet a solid shade, but make those facing the light source lighter or white. If it's just a crystal surface, draw two parallel diagonal lines crossing through the corner closest to the light source and leave the space between them unshaded. Make the area on the side of the diagonal lines closest to the light source lighter-colored and the area on the other side darker.
I might draw up something in paint to show you what I mean, I'm too tired to scan in any drawings right now.
On a side note, I do a similar shading style with metal...
When I shade metals I "box in" the shading area with a perpendicular line to the shading grain. This might work for crystal too.

No problem. Shading is fun!
Trivia fact: Unless a light source is already established in the composition, I always make my light source from the top left corner. I think it has something to do with my left-handedness.

I would make it in top-right corner, so that I can shade the areas closest to my left hand, so it doesn't smeer (sp?) the drawing. But that's me.
Look at the pics I drew in here, I rarely shade.
