New Quilt Ideas

So, as many of you may or may not know, my girlfriend is a quilter. She made me possibly the greatest Christmas gift I've ever received, pictured below.

She is now looking for new quilting ideas, and asked me to query the MDb community for ideas and opinions. We put together this Megaman 2 idea last night:

It'll be roughly 6' square. What does everybody think of this idea? Any suggestions or improvements?

Any other iconic 8-bit gaming imagery that would translate well into a quilt? Input is appreciated!

I think any Megaman game would translate well into a quilt.

And a badass quilt at that.

I agree with IMB706 with the Kirby idea. That would make a good quilt. Pink yes, but I see it more as a collection item.

she might look into quilts with optical illusions built in like this one. Here straight lines are used to approximate curves, and give the effect of movement.

Yeah, she's done many varieties of quilting. For right now she's interested in 8-bit (pixelated) game ideas.
