Never seen this topic, I once found this spider on my travels, dunno where to get it identified, our guide never seen one before like it and he knew everything in jungle!

I do have mild arachnophobia though. Bugs don't bother me as much as spiders do, for some reason.

Walkin' outside my front door tonight. Notice she's carrying her "stallion" on her back. They were mating. This is called a muskmare.

The worst I get around is just, like, Spiders, stinkbugs, or the very very worst centipedes.

Where I work, dealing with shipping boxes as I do, all kinds of crazy critters hop the Pacific and pop out of who knows where. Biggest friggin' insects I've ever seen, and most certainly not native to northern California. Quite the occasional fright, but it's hilarious when the winged ones make it out to the sales floor and scare the customers. Can't blame'em, though. If I saw something nearly the size of my fist flying right at me I'd probably freak out as well.
