Re: How was YOUR day today?Any of you that are State side ever been to Phoenix? Need to spend a night there on my way to Costa Rica. Looked the place up and the main thing that I noticed was "In the late 2000s, Phoenix earned the title "Kidnapping capital of the USA"". Awesome!

That is disturbing. "Horse, thou art a creature without equal, for thou flyest without wings and conquerest without sword." --Koran

Re: How was YOUR day today?
No it's not. |

Re: How was YOUR day today?
It's not disturbing or it's not true? I don't right fancy getting kidnapped by Mexican drug lords. |

Re: How was YOUR day today?Good question. Disturbing or not true?
Speaking of disturbing and possibly not true, there was this dude that tried to steal a big engine out of a truck. He got under the truck, loosened the thingy up (I'm not a vehicle person), and had the engine (or something) fall on his head and crush it. Judging by the nearby pool of vomit, he probably had an accomplice. This happened several years ago (allegedly). Re: How was YOUR day today?Well, it looks like my sister's cat (named Cloud) is going to be ok.
In other news, on Wednesday I went to get my car inspected and it failed, because there was aftermarket tint that was there when I bought the car, and it was too dark in the front windows... Sorry...this is a bit long. Oh, and a bit TMI: I'm starting to get the feeling that my current birth control failed.... |

Re: How was YOUR day today?Went to a birthday party last night. There was a scavenger hunt and a pool. Got back around 4am. More details later when I'm less hung over.

Re: How was YOUR day today?Hangovers suck.
Scratch what I said about my birth control failing...it didn't. Which is ok. Anyways...had Taekwondo this morning and it was fun. We did self defense. I think I did a total of 70 (real) pushups today. |

Re: How was YOUR day today?First hot weekend of year and stuck indoors trying my darnest to get my assignments completed that are due in for Wednesday, one of them involves designing a heating system just to make things even more silly, this combined with my abstinence from alcohol is making me cranky lol.

Re: How was YOUR day today?I personally can't say much about hangovers for two reasons. One, my family is highly resistant to them. Two, I am underage and have never had alcohol before. However, I did smoke for nine months; mom wouldn't quit when she found out she was prego with me. DPE, if you do get prego, promise me two things. One, don't go all druggie on it. Two, make sure it knows who its father is. You have no idea how horrible it feels to not know if your own father would want to see you. It's one thing if your mother is a bitch, but if you just don't know...suffice to say, nobody should have to endure unneccessary suffering like that. Thanks to not knowing him, I cried over the phone with my current boyfriend, which was enormously embarrassing; I have a badass reputation to uphold.

Re: How was YOUR day today?
If he's worth anything, I doubt he'll hold it against you. Ahem .. so more on my night and into today. Went out to the party after 10. A bunch of people were there, but we all hung out for a while waiting for more people to show up. If you're not familiar with scavenger hunts, here's the deal. We were split up into teams. Each team was given an identical list of clues. We had to figure out the clues and either collect the necessary item or do the necessary deed. Some of the clues were straight forward, like "Sing a Christmas carol on a downtown street corner," while others were more cryptic. There were a couple of word scrambles and a cryptogram, also. Let's see ... we had to get a video of a team member bowling a frame - a nice family let one of us step in - we had to get 30 cents worth of gas - the birthday girl turned 30 - had to get a purchase receipt time stamped at 11:30, had to get a picture taken with strangers at a restaurant - we went to Krispy Kreme, because we also needed a coffee cup with a company logo and signed by an employee - and one of the male team members had to wear a dress. Those are just a few of the crazy things we did. Anyway, my team didn't win the game, but we had a lot of fun. Afterwards, we all hung out, sucked down jello-shots. I took a few shots of Absolut and Bacardi, mmmmm. Some folks danced with Kinnect. Then somebody mentioned going out to the pool and a few of us went out there. I didn't feel like getting wet, so I sat by the side. I left shortly thereafter. Wasn't much else going on by then. Today; slept 'til 11:30. Forced myself to get up so I could get to my niece's birthday by 1. They tried to have the party outside, but there were some scattered rain showers today, that seemed to follow me around. The kids would go out while the sun was shining, then come back in when the rain started. Finally, after cake and presents, everyone went outside for the pinata. My bro-in-law had just hung it up when it started raingin again. It was just a sprinkling at first, so no one bothered with it, but once my niece started swing at the pinata, the rain started pouring. The pinata gave out from the soaking and dropped to the ground, spilling its sugary guts. The kids scrambled. Everyone was getting soaked and the sun-tents weren't doing much to keep anything dry. That's about the time me and my mom left, because I hed to get to work. Speaking of which, business was slow, but I got to work with the new girl all night. I think she's warming up to me. She smiled at me when she came in. I don't know if that really means anything, though. Don't be pushed by your problems. Be led by your dreams.

It doesn't matter if he holds it against me, it was still embarassing. I won't even cry at funerals. "Horse, thou art a creature without equal, for thou flyest without wings and conquerest without sword." --Koran

Re: How was YOUR day today?
Alas, crying is one of the more healthier ways to exhale pain or sadness from ones body. Therefore no body should be holding anything against you, crying or not. It's natural. |

Re: How was YOUR day today?
Erm...it's my husband. |

Re: How was YOUR day today?
First of all, "more healthier" is not grammatically correct. Grammar Nazi pwn. Secondly, "no body" is one word. Another Grammar Nazi pwn. Third, I disagree. I wasn't raised in a military family, but I like the saying "Pain is weakness leaving the body". Does it hurt? Duh. Does it make a person stronger? Obviously. Never let the enemy know your capabilities or limitations. Tears are an indication of a limitation. Therefore, never let them be seen.
Don't be sorry. I like to think he's off being a male stripper somewhere and that he's slowly dying of painful STDs. Or some other equally horrible fate. I'm not a forgiving person, in case you haven't noticed. "Horse, thou art a creature without equal, for thou flyest without wings and conquerest without sword." --Koran
