What topic made you join the board?

Now if you're anything like me, there was probably one topic you just had to have your say on, so you signed up. I hung around this forum for a fair bit, reading the threads before I joined.

I think it was a combination of the 'SM and MZM' thread, and the 'What Metroid 5 should be like' thread.

So, what made you join?

I joined because I've been reading the MDb since I was wee lad.

Actually, I visited the Mdb for walkthroughs, news (not forum) ect. Then one day I noticed the message board and thought to my self "Forum dedicated to Metroid. I must join!"

Though years ago I did scroll threw as a geust. Should have joined then

I've been a board member since waaay back when we were still on Boardhost (I can't even remember when exactly that was anymore), and migrated to the new forums as soon as I knew they were up. I don't think I originally joined because of any single topic. Actually I know I didn't, when I joined it was by request only and you had to be manually added to the member list by TJ (Haha, that's one way to keep the spam bots out ). Didn't post a tonne then, and still don't post a tonne now, but when I do I try and keep it high quality. I tend to read most of the recent posts whenever I check in, which tends to be daily.

Correct. The board in its current form didn’t exist until May last year, and the old one was very different and required logging in.

Me? That's a long time... I think it was mostly because of the "Never-ending Metroid story".

I don't know. I just found some metroid forum that looked really cool, and when I took another look around I saw it wasn't like almost every other forum, where people post whatever they want anywhere, a total mess. This one is different, it has some really good discussions -metroid and non-metroid related- and mature people, both very hard to find on internet these days. This was my strongest motive to join.

I actually came to the original MDb board to plug the M2 secret worlds I had found. I've been posting here since before some of our newer members were probably born.
