When did the shows stop being edgy?!! It seems like only South Park is making me laugh (Family guy has a few awesome jokes in a couple of episode, SP keeps me loling though the entire thing)

First of all, Futurama was created by Matt Groening, the same guy who made the simpsons, NOT! Seth MacFarlane.

Yes...I know. I remember watching Futurama when it first aired, and take in mind I was only 10, and even then I hated it. My mom hated it more though. On another note, it wasn't created by Matt Groening so much that the characters where conceptualized by him. Not that it really matters.

Actually, most people in the United States and I'm sure a good chunk of the rest of the world love it, even though it's mind rot bullshit. Intelligent people like it even. I don't know, maybe I just don't get it, then again, I'm not much of a TV fan.

No see, you can't categorise humour like this. There is no "Intelligent funny" and "Stupid funny". Sure, you can have intellectual humour, jokes that require some knowledge to understand. But that doesn't give anything else less of a right to being humorous. It's not 'stupid', just easier to understand, and what's wrong with that? It appeals to more people. It's a type of humour that plays to the very basics of what we as a culture find funny.

What are you talking about? Since when can you not call something mind rot bullshit? The term comes from Squash Rot, and is just a reference to stupidity in media. If you think Family Guy isn't one dimensional, then well, have fun watching it. And it's not elitist to say a television show is incredibly popular, when it obviously is. If it wasn't, it wouldn't be on the air.

This seems to be an epidemic problem, this reaction to simple criticism. No one is trying to take your right away to watch television by voicing an opinion, get over yourself.
