I hate all those too. except CoD/Halo, they're ok, but I don't like them as a game, they cold do better.

Generally... I just hate whatever becomes popular. It disgusts me when a mass populous becomes obsessed with the same thing. It shows me how vanilla humanity is. I live for being different.

I like you. I especially agree with zombies, /b/ garbage, and the word "epic". (unless used properly, which no one on the internet ever does.)

I wouldn't say I dislike the stuff because they're popular though, I dislike them because they became popular and everyone with good business sense exploited the fuck out of them. Zombies would be totally cool with me if they weren't in absolutely everything, for example.

Memes and stuff are different though, as they weren't really "exploited", but rather, repeated out of context to an absurd degree by people who don't even understand why they were funny in the first place, ruining them completely. You have no idea how disappointed I was when I came back to this site from a long absence only to see this emoticon: , because it stopped being funny ages ago. Hell, in the original troll face comic it wasn't even used in the current "LOL LOOK AT THAT TROLL HE IS SO FUNNY" context, but rather "Look at this dumbass, he thinks he's so hilarious but he's actually just pathetic."

When I was a teenager (and a DAMN stupid asshole one at that) I was a crazy /b/tard and spent a lot of energy flaming people hardcore on various websites and forums. I was really damn good at it too, I'm not proud to announce that. I even got people to threaten suicide because of my verbal assaults. Again - not proud.

Then I grew up.

Then EVERYONE and their damn mothers started ghetto "trolling" while using this face , announcing that they were TROLLING, making sure to remind you they are a TROLL, and repeating phrases like U BUTTHURT, U MAD, FAIL, etc.
It started with LOLcats/chocolate rain, then I found my kid brother "rickrolling" people. I wanted to punch his head in.

That's great, I'm all for doing your own thing, but what if what's popular is popular for a good reason? I follow my own interests. If they happen to coincide with what everyone else likes, so be it. As long as I don't fall into the trap of liking something because it's popular.

For instance, I'm not a big fan of "pop" music in general, but there are a few songs I happen to like. Then again, music genres are a bit vague for me.

Why does Zelda get all this cool shit for the 25th anniversary (including a damn orchestra performance), and Metroid fans get... what? Oh right... Metroid fusion released to 3ds ambassadors only later in the year? Great, now I can play it an 8th time on a different console! Fuck that.

I normally enjoy memes when used right. Unfortunately, that is extremely hard to find these days. As for ... I really don't know what went wrong with humanity to think that being called a troll is positive in any manner. can be funny or at least fitting in various situations, but it seems like it's everywhere nowadays.

To be honest, I've always hated Nintendo. I never liked them. I've only bought Nintendo's shit since it was the popular thing. Until I played Metroid Prime Nintendo was just some excuse for a game company. In fact Metroid is the only thing Nintendo ever did thought was good. Well, Metroid is amazing, but you know what I mean.

Xbox 360 is a piss poor console. So many things the console lacked and how horribly designed the system is. I've owned 4 or 5 and Microsoft has messed up every time. So I sold mine. The only thing I found good was how I made a couple friends online.

Well, Zelda only has one new game this year, and Mario has none. Don't forget we got a new game exactly a year ago, which isn't very long. I'm sure there'll be another entry in the series until about 2013.

It's also safe to say that every main entry in Mario and Zelda will certainly sell more than five million copies. And Other M sold about 850,000 copies. Much more than "100k."

Regardless of all that, my post above doesn't lose it's validity. It's (mostly) not Nintendo's fault that Mario and Zelda sell and Metroid doesn't.

It's funny to note that you've lost the count of how many Xbox 360s you had. Considering the Wii's and the PS3's much lower failure rate, the real "loser" of this generation becomes obvious. I'd only own a 360 if I won it as a prize or something.

Also, if you bought the same damn console five times, you probably have better ways of spending your money.



Oh, and Zadra. I want to ask you something. What would you think of Metroid if the next game sold 10 or 20 million copies?
