Show me your Desktop!

Giving me the choice between Gnome 3 and Unity would be like giving me the choice between shoving my hand into a trash disposal or repeatedly banging my head against a brick wall. I'd rather just not do either.

Yeah, but it's more limited than Gnome 2.

Actually, Linux Mint has been doing some cool stuff with Gnome 3 in order to make it behave more like a traditional UI. I think their approach clashes a bit with Gnome 3's philosophy, but it's not a bad compromise.
