Show me your Desktop!

I would show you my Desktop, but I've only had this laptop for a month.

Can anybody tell me how to change the tune Windows 7 plays when you log in? I'd like to change it to the Save Station theme from Super Metroid.

Right-click anywhere on the desktop and select "Personalize" from the menu, next click "Sounds" in the window that appears.

From there, change "Windows Logon" to your sound effect of choice. Note that this will be bound to your current theme, so if you have multiple themes you like to switch between, make sure to repeat the above steps for each one.

I did that, except I used the Prime version (same music but better quality).

It was done successfully (a detail he forgot to mention: the clip has to be .wav), and I plan to change some more. (Program has been successfully installed! *Item Acquired Fanfare* Shutting down... *the last chords from the Ending*)

I did "Samus's Death Sound" for shutting down, after jumping out of my chair a few times I got rid of that.

Ah, sorry about that. I've only changed my sounds once, and the clips were already in .wav format.

My shutdown sound used to be Sinistar's roar but I changed it when I decided it wasn't worth the heart attacks. (My startup sound was "Beware, I live!")
