And use the new melee system to physically kick their pirate-y butts.

You think they'd just give up with the amount of times Samus has blown his ass up.

Actually the success rate with Ridey is pretty good. He comes back every single time. Not many creatures have even told a story of Samus to their evil offspring. Ridley has plenty of tales. Though the end is always the same.

"Now kids, gather round! I'm going to tell the story of when I fought Samus while falling at high speeds down a large shaft!"
"Yay!"
"Yup, I remember it like it was yesterday. I was falling down a Shaft, with Samus shooting down at me inside my mouth... And well long story short, I died. Again!"

Anyway, besides the hopeful inclusion of NInja Pirates, what other types do you think there will be?

Yeah, I don't quite remember pirates that detach limbs.

Those are the infamous ninja pirates people were talking about. They're before Ridley in Super Metroid.

I looked them up and I laughed so hard I nearly cried.

Whatever they end up doing, I hope it's more than just stacking minor variations of the normal grunts. Encountering the "Advanced Armor Pirate Militia Commando Aerotrooper" kind of enemy got old fast. With the different physical varieties we've seen so far, maybe they'll decide to make them drastically different.

Ninja Pirates would be really fun to fight, especially given Team Ninja's forte. Maybe they'll blow themselves up and have all their limbs attack at once

I wonder if we will have any unique new units of Space Pirate in Other M? And yeah, the Ninja Pirates (Now that I remember what they are) would be interesting to see return in Other M.

Considering that they are (supposedly) masters of genetics, you'd think they would have more types.

I wonder if Mer-Pirates are actual experiments or just the fusion of pirate and fish DNA.

They're mutants due to X fusion. Kill something in an underwater room with a normal pirate, and the X will fuse with it to make an aquatic pirate.

I think we've seen at least two types in the first trailer, unless the ones that look like Samus & Joey's variety are something else. The whole idea of grotesque and insane modifications mostly came from Prime, but it wouldn't surprise me if they end up doing something similar. The concept of physical modifications really makes up most of their character when it comes to military endeavors.
