Those cut scenes were amazing.

But I was hoping for more of a Prime based game again, but this is something new, something different. Even better.

I'm thinking there's a backstory here concerning the Galactic Federation's own attempts at power suits? Samus has apparently stumbled upon some secret organization, as the woman seems surprised at her being there.

Man, I even love the audio. That trailer was full of classic sound effects and then the creepy little piece of the Metroid theme right at the end... oh yes. Nailed it.

Thank you thank you thank you Nintendo. This is like 13 years worth of dreams come true.

She has her hair cut at the beggining but when shes in the zero suit her hair has grown back.

What I am predicting here...

The game features Samus early in her career. She is a little less bad@$$, kind of shy but pretty open to new people. She works under Adam Malkovich and kind of starts to fall in love with him. Meanwhile she's in the front lines of the war against the Pirates along with a man in a blue suit who may or may not be named Houston Armstrong (hopefully not). Together they fight like crazy people and do things Samus should have always done like throw things against walls and shove her arm cannon into Pirate's faces. In the end, Adam dies, and we see a huge character shift which sets up her lonely and kind of pensive character for the rest of the series.

I see more of a friendship role between Samus and Adam, I doubt they will throw a love story into it.

And if Nintendo were to breath life into Houston Armstrong, I would be extremely happy. I never had a problem with the guy myself

I'm thinking that is Armstrong Houston. If it is, he's finally been made canonical. I don't know where else Samus would know him, unless she met him somewhere in the game, and they meet up again. I think Team Ninja captures Samus Aran much better as far as the way she moves around and fights. You can't get a whole lot from a first-person shooter, and it seems that in this game, you'll get to function in both first-person and third-person. The only time you could do that in the Prime series was when you used the Morph Ball (I want to see that) and the Screw Attack. I love Samus' Scan Visor, if that's what she's using, also. I am definitely going to buy this game! I like what I see so far!

Actually I thought the show as a whole was really lame. I mean, a pulse sensor? Seriously? Little did I know how high my pulse would be skyrocketing by the end!

Interesting. I don't care for any of the suit designs, but I'm cautiously optimistic about the rest. I wonder what the deal with the Power Suit being in a Federation armor research lab is.

I think they are trying to copy some of its functions. And I'm getting to be more and more of a fan of the Classic helmet. The shoulder designs are cool and very round. Overall it looks like a cool interpretation with a nice mix of grace and raw power.

Also, the style of the graphics makes me think they're trying to make Metroid more popular in Japan. This means that Nintendo actually cares about Metroid and wants to see it succeed!
