The trailer seems hastily made. Especially the ending scene, which doesn't seem to be in chronological order (Samus walks in past the woman, then Samus is at a computer, then the woman sees Samus and is shocked-- I mean I don't think a walking tank like Samus could sneak past her like that). Furthermore, some of the graphics did not seem to be final. But it gets the point across.

... ... ... Wow... Good show Nintendo, good show. Other M... I wonder... Also, am I the only one who thinks the female scientist at the end has a skeptical expression after hearing "I am Samus Aran" at the end?

Yeah, he edited his other post with a new one, which may actually be better than yours Hm, could "Other M" be a working title meaning... "the other Metroid"? Or is it just a kind of lame hint at Malkovich?

I assume it's "The Other Metroid" rather than "Other Malkovich".
My assumption is that it takes place well before M1/MZM, but we've probably already established that.

Man! That cutscene at the end with Mother Brain and the Power Beam charging up inside the gun was so sweet looking! sharonlover wrote:I see more of a friendship role between Samus and Adam, I doubt they will throw a love story into it.
I'm not sure about that. I imagine that Team Ninja (man writing that feels so different from Retro Studios) had to dig deep into the existing Metroid universe, including the ZM manga, and will definitively show just how deep their relationship was, tried to be, or couldn't be. Yeah, it's quite a different turn. So far, I still prefer Andrew Jones 3D style over this new look, but awesome cutscenes and storytelling are still awesome regardless. The only possible downside to this more cinematic experience and focus on storytelling, is that it will most likely make the game lose some of it's feeling of isolation. I know a number of people complained about that in MP3C with the talking NPCs, so, imagine what it's going to be like now. Do you think Team Ninja will be able to maintain that same atmosphere and focus on exploration, or do you think it's going to get lost in a game that focuses more or big action scenes and/or more linear gameplay?

This is all I wanted in a Metroid game. Third person 3D. Everything is there... charge shot, ice beam, Samus talking, Speed Booster... it's all there.
Life is good.

I'm hoping for a little of both. Huge complexes of underground, claustrophobic tunnels and Pirate bases where you haven't got a friend in the world... and then you surface and have some story and dialogue, then prepare to venture back into the unforgiving deep. Besides, having story and dialog between Samus and her superiors/colleagues is more realistic-- Life has a story, and you can't get by on a mission without at least communicating. Later, when Samus became a Bounty Hunter, she got by ok on her own; but I get the feeling she's part of the GF here and has to, you know, speak to people.

Trailers aren't meant to be chronological.

WHY? Why do I have to be such a retard and miss this thread? And then send useless PMs to IE?
And why does this not feel like Metroid? I'll tell you why: asian overkill factor. PrOOve me wrong. Call me racist. It still doesn't feel like Metroid with too much ninja stuff. Oh, I love her new moves, but they're not ment to be used by HER!!! Goddamnit, kill me now.
I know how to spell GENIOUS nowbaremyarcticblast Adam Malkovich authorises you to play your copy of Metroid Prime.

Im really looking forward to this. I just hope the game is pretty long like the Prime games. I hope its hard to beat as well. I wonder how the controls would be.
