I just realized something. in the original metroid at the end it says that hopefully the galaxy will not be attacked by the other metroid. It could be refering to that!

Not sure if it's been discussed or not, but the snippet of speech from the Japanese site, ("A dream. It's as if I was watching a playback of a tragedy that really happened."), makes me believe there will be flashbacks to Samus's past.

Playing as 4 year old Samus during the attack of K2L, training with the Chozo after being orphaned, obtaining the Power Suit, first interactions with the Galactic Federation...Ooooo, I'm giddy with anticipation!

that would be sweet. I had a new idea. Nintendo should make a 3D 3rd person metroid game! Like your looking down on Samus's head and seeing what she is seeing but not first person view.

It would add more to the game and to the plotline if they did that. I guess we have to wait.
I personalty thought the line meant--Hold on, I'll restate it because I really want understand it:

"A dream. It's as if I was watching a playback of a tragedy that really happened."

This statement confuses me, because of the "really" word-- did it "really" happen...?
The first thing she states is "A Dream." So thus-- right off the bat, the reader may be confused.

Then it said: "playback", to me that's like a flashback -to the game it's a cut scene I'm assuming to her past.
The it's probably refers to the explosion she witnessed on Planet K2L, compared to the explosion she's wittnessing (now) from Adam's ship. -Note I'm adding in what I think might happen in the game.

I believe Adam dies on his ship, it's a fan theory-- so until more information is released or the game comes out I have no idea if I'm correct. We do know however that the trailer showed a brief explosion.

I guess that nintendo press conference thing is tomorrow, right? We'll have to wait and see if they show some new stuff. I'm not sure if it's been mentioned, but about a minute or so into the trailer we see a installation in space that bears a resemblance to the BSL station in fusion, so maybe the game will take us there.

I mentioned that the story could take place on SR388 a loooong time ago. I it was imedietly denied. We'll just have to see. Oh, and what press conference?

Because if she went on SR388 any time before Fusion, the X Parasites would royally screw Samus over.
