Edit: And now that I've finished watching it, allow me to be the first to say that, from a gameplay standpoint, this (mostly) looks like the 3D Metroid game I've been waiting for for a long time. Fast, agile Samus... welcome back. The auto aim appears to be extremely forgiving, but ultimately the action looks fantastic. And the music sounds beautiful!

Still, I'm somewhat disappointed at the environments revealed. They don't look bad, and the jungle terrain in particular looked great, but it does seem as though they've recycled platformer cliches such as the ice and lava world without making them distinctive in and of themselves. Of course, they may simply be focusing on the less imaginative terrain so as to avoid spoiling the more unique alien terrain.

All in all, great trailer. My hype level has definitely increased.

There's a second and a half of Samus screw attacking some enemies while space jumping. And the space jump increases her altitude. An actual screw attack, and a more versatile space jump?

And the Bottle Ship does look pretty bottle-y. Maybe that's the only reason for the name.

Oh, and they kept the raindrops-on-the-visor effect!

And was that Higgs firing the ice beam at the tentacle monster? Because it didn't seem to be Samus.

Anyone see the rainy forest area? THAT looks like an interesting area I would like. This looks great, it looks like they did good with the controls and now I am looking forward to this even more!
