Re: What M:OM did RIGHT **SPOILERS**
No. The ones bitching about Samus not living up to their misconstrued expectations. Don't be pushed by your problems. Be led by your dreams.

Re: What M:OM did RIGHT **SPOILERS**I liked how Samus was fast again. The movement was a little wonky but when it clicks it really feels like Zero Mission in 3d.
Those scenes were like getting a glimpse at what Other M Samus would have been like if the writing were good. |

Re: What M:OM did RIGHT **SPOILERS**Okey thank youuuu. Personally i think that a lot of Other M had great ideas and concepts for Samus that need explained better
And i also don't have a problem with the voice acting. I love it in fact. But its the SCRIPT that needs work. And LesserC, i see what you mean. Am i still allowed to think Adam is hot? ![]()

Re: What M:OM did RIGHT **SPOILERS**Yaaaaayyyy that's what other m did right. Included hot males for the fangirls who mainly played for good gaming and an independent female.

Re: What M:OM did RIGHT **SPOILERS**I think I will stick to this thread from now on.
I pretty much have to agree with a lot of what was said on here. The graphics were great, the gameplay was fantastic, I enjoyed the voice acting, and I didn't hate the storyline, even though there were a few parts that left me scratching my head. I think Samus's character needs some tweaking but I like that she's a nice person despite how tough she is. I have a blast playing this game. Also, this guy-----> Love him, he is the shit. Also, Hawk's Eye, I have a little crush on Adam too! He's a good looking guy. Don't feel embarrassed. ![]() |

Re: What M:OM did RIGHT **SPOILERS**Everyone is so friendly and open here. I can't believe I actually found a positive other m topic.
I kind of went through a period of loving it, then hating it, and then not really knowing what to think as being torn between two sides. So I think I can safely say that the biggest problem with the game was that it was too big of a change at to sudden a time, maybe even a bigger change then super metroid to metroid prime. Perhaps if nintendo had a cool dlc to release for this game it might put all this arguing to rest, but as we all know that's not going to happen. So back on topic, let me start by saying. The game actually did have some pretty cool and interesting elements to it. 1. The sensemove was VERY useful and easy to master 2. The space jump finally let you jump infinitely in a 3D game 3. The story (while not entirely there) did have some interesting plot twists to it. 4. The music was really good. 5. Graphics were out of this world 6. The lock on system was much easier to manage than the prime games. 7. Wall jump was SOOOO much easier to use 8. While although not a very effective trick for energy recovery (unless you use cheat codes) the concentration trick was insanely helpful for missile recovery. There are a few others but I'm not sure I want to go into that much detail simply for time reasons. And yes, I agree anthony was clearly a token a pretty good character |

Re: What M:OM did RIGHT **SPOILERS**Well, since I wound up posting on a thread with the same topic that's been locked, I'll reiterate what I stated there on the original thread.
I like the "action" in the game most. I like how hand-to-hand combat was implemented. I always wanted to see Samus literally kick alien ass. And they way it was implemented in this game was actually better executed than any other positive aspect of Other M! What I mean is that the physical combat did not overtake the more traditional methods of attack the series is known for, but rather enhances it. There were very few places in the game that I remember where you actually HAD to use lethal strike to kill an enemy. It was optional. But it was developed enough so that if you wanted to use it, you could, and it even causes extra damage than your beam in some cases! The sensemove I think is a little bit overpowered, unlike the concentration ability, but that's another can of worms... I also would like to point out that I also like how Samus is a bit faster than her in her Prime Trilogy iteration. Plus that Screw Attack gets a proper 3D execution. I relished EVERY second of vaporizing annoying enemies with either that or the Power Bomb, which actually "looks" like a powerful explosion that's a force to be reckoned with, again, more so than in the Prime Trilogy. Be not proud of what you make, but what impact it leaves on others.
