Tips:
Metroid: Use JUSTIN BAILEY
Metroid II: Return of Samus: Either use the Nintendo Power Maps, or make one! Conserve missiles and save often. Spiderball EVERYWHERE.
Metroid 3: Super Metroid: Explore every nook and cranny, learn to bomb-jump really high, and wall jump. Don’t shoot everything on sight. Use the X-Ray scope a lot, but don’t always trust it.
Metroid IV: Metroid Fusion: Watch your energy and save a lot! Find the hidden passages between Sectors.
Metroid Zero Mission: Bomb around a lot on your first 100% run-through to find the hidden missile-block shortcuts for your low-time runs. Sequence-break the Varia with bomb-jumping. Use the glitch to beat the Black Pirates at the end. Get the screw attack on low-% runs.

I've completed super metroid thousands of times and starting it with fusion now (I'm at the end of getting the 100% - my 1st time ever), but just beat ZM twice. With all that discussion about pirate games I agreed to avoid downloading it... I'll buy it someday

Metroid tip: You might want to go for ridley first, as he's kinda a wuss in this one.
Metroid 2 tip: If your ice beam brings an enemy to the verge of death (next shot would kill it), and it thaws, it dies.
Super metroid tip: Do NOT use any missiles against the golden torizo statue, as he will be ready and catch it and send it back... I say that's more bad *censored* than ridley could do.
Metroid fusion: don't be afraid to shinespark. It wont hurt anymore as far as I seen.

Here's a tip for Metroid NES that everyone knows about:
If you fight Ridley with the Wave Beam, standing next to him makes all his fireballs arc over you the whole fight, making him a sitting duck.
If you use the Ice Beam, the pattern is more random and makes the fight harder.

While it’s cool to be proud of your accomplishments, I think ; PRIME ;’s idea in creating a Hall of Fame was for it to be the players who have really commited to completing the classic series, and thoroughly, not just everyone who’s beaten any game.
