Whats your favorite metroid enemy?

Space Pirates are absolutely hysterical to me, and I don't know why. Every time I came across a Pirate Data in the Primes, I would clap with glee. They're just always up to madcap shenanigans of some sort.

They're sort of like an Evil Villain's Henchmen or something, always doing the heavy lifting for their leader, and attempting to stop the incoming hero who in turn beats the crap outta them with ease. It's like that for the most part in the Metroid Game, nothing but mere cannon fodder to be torn through only lengthening their master's life by a few seconds. Except for those black pirates in Zero Mission, those guys are dicks.

One enemy I can't stand, though, is Grenchlers. Stupid, OP Sheegoth ripoffs.

Yakuza in Metroid Fusion. Why? The huge amount of relief you feel when you finally kill that bastard!

I loved most of the designs from Metroid 2. They stood apart more than the enemies in Metroid 1. I really like the Skreek and Hornoad.

I actually thought Rezbits were a little too assholish. If they weren't quite as common, or had a bit less health, they would have been really fun. Unfortunately, by the end of the game they were just tedious.

My favorite enemies in terms of sprite/model art would be oum, minikraid, evir, and pretty much all the wildlife from the first Prime.

My favorites to fight are the sheegoths/grenchlers, big sidehoppers, space pirates from the first two Primes, the various burrowing beetle-things from Prime 1, and the metroids themselves.

My favorites all around are the tourizo (tekili-li! tekili-li!), Ridley, kihunters, and bloodflowers.

Hey, I like Rezbits. It's interesting to have an enemy that can damage you without necessarily just subtracting health.

Plus, they add something to the combat dynamic. Fighting enemies, up until Rezbits generally means killing them without worrying too much about health unless you happen to be low on health. Fighting Rezbits has all that, plus the whole interface screw thing that you've gotta make sure you avoid in order to prevent getting in a worse situation.

I've always appreciated creative enemies, no matter how annoying they are. For that reason, I love Quads, Rezbits, and all of the Ing. Mogenar and Nightmare also fall under this category for me.

Metroids are commonplace now, but I think they were interesting and unique at first, and their mysterious nature continues to hold my interest in encountering them.

For fun fighting an enemy, any Space Pirate in Corruption. They had so many variations and attacks that it was entertaining to run into a squad of them and have to deal with different vulnerabilities or attacks. I just wish they were more diverse than some different armor or rank.

Any incarnation of Ridley is my favorite boss in that game.

The Omega Pirate was insanely fun to battle!

No, because there was always at least one of them in Hypermode, meaning any encounter with them HAD to be done in hypermode. I hate them.
