Okay, whatever happened to this version of Samus?

It's what she has on under her Power Suit during the entirety of Fusion. But you wouldn't know that if you never died in Fusion (you fiend).

Yeah like you mentioned before they may have not fully thought through the zero suit concept at the time. Lack of a chozo symbols and such been indicators of this.

Due to the fact that Other M is right after Super, and she wore the Zero suit in it, that probabaly puts the two piece out of cannon. I know that I may be looking too hard into this, but hey, See if I care!

She just has a closet full of dozens of copies of the same 3 or 4 outfits.

Samus: What to wear...my pink Varia? One of several Gravity Suits? My lovely sleek Fusion suits? The clunky Dark Suit or the sexy Light suit? Choices choices...

Aside from being blue, her Metroid Fusion clothes don't really look like they came from the Zero Suit at all.

Unless, you know, the Zero Suit was denim or something.

Samus's power suit has been described as a second skin to her. For this reason alone she either wears the Zero Suit underneath or hardly anything at all. I do not believe the Zero Suit actually has any kind of effect on how the power suit is created (Zero Mission: My old suit is gone!!! at least I still have the Zero Suit which is undamaged)

What I'm getting at here is that Samus doesn't wear form-revealing outfits because of a need to be in direct contact with her suit or for the sex appeal. It's simply because there's no room for anything else. If it were a dude, he'd probably only have on Under Armor and a pair of briefs. Not cause it gets hot in there, or the clothes chafe or anything. They just wouldn't fit.


Now here is the real burning question: In Super Metroid, Samus has on a black bikini, which would be just as comfortable as the Zero Suit (if not moreso) under a "second skin". I don't know why, maybe the Zero Suit got.... I don't know. But the bikini is there and proven during the game whenever you die (not just a nice bonus for beating the game.)

How does she wake up with the Zero Suit on in Other M??

My best guess? Same reason she royally freaks out at Ridley or doesn't ask about turning her Varia Suit on in a hot place.

I have to agree with whoever said that the Zero Suit wasn't thought of yet. It wasn't in Fusion, which came out in 2002. The Zero Suit appeared in Zero Mission and in Echoes as well, which both came out in 2004. The Zero Suit has appeared in all games created since then, including Super Smash Bros Brawl.

When it comes to the two-piece, I prefer the orange one (Zero Mission). Its overall design is just better IMO (though having a blue version would probably be better). I still prefer the Zero-Suit (Zero Mission's version, anyway) over it though.

However, I'll say it again: if they want to sexual Samus' ending rewards like no other, then all they have to do is put her in that green jacket outfit again from Other M. Sexiest thing she has ever worn IMO.

Dunno if I'd call it "sexiest", but it was very lovely and charming. Easily the best idea Sakamoto came up with for Other M (aside from and "Any objections, Adam?")
