(So apparently you can't add a poll to a thread? D:<)
So, after playing Other M I find the Sakamoto Pirates pretty awesome. Prime 3 has some pretty awesome ones too, but in the end I'm going to have to give in to Sakamoto and the original Pirate design. I think the insectoid design is really cool, and I'd love to see them in HD (Hopefully in a more open area like Prime with some interaction between themselves and different types like in Prime 3).
edit: Seriously? No one else wants to add their opinion, even after 23 views? How many lurkers are there here?

I prefer the more 'carnivorous' design of Prime's Space Pirates. It makes them seem a hell of lot my dangerous than anthropomorphic crustaceans with Ridley-heads (Other M) to me. The original designs weren't detailed enough, at least as far as what I've seen, for me to come to a conclusion on their design, really.

I like the design of the main series. It's a consistent design that has character and is easy to identify.
To me the Prime ones look like your average generic space alien that kept changing in every game.

Prime 1 design is for me the best design too. As well as the one you see in Prime's manual, which is unfortunatly unused:

My favorites were the original space pirates in terms of design Their design is more unique and interesting, where as prime's was more realistic, which, while very good, didn't capture my attention as much

I really dislike those grey ones though. The purples, however... they're wonderful. It's hard to see in-game, but in Other M they're really detailed.

Polls were disabled after people began to abuse them. You could have easily REQUESTED a Poll to be added to this thread via PM. Since I'm a nice guy, I've added one. Let me know if you want more options.

One of the neat things about the Other M Zebesians is that, just like in the concept art, every one of them was at a different stage/level of cybernization. In one group, you could encounter one with a cybernetic arm, one with a cybernetic leg, one with a cybernetic head, and one that was cybernetic from the waist down. That kind of variation in enemies is a really neat touch in my book.
Edit: Poll be broken for this guy. When I select an option and hit "submit," I get this message: "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again." Submitting again does nothing, much like the goggles.

I prefer the design of the zebesians overall. They're really iconic and have this goofy charm that makes them fun to look at. Even the way they move (in Other M mostly) is specific to Space Pirates and interesting in that way. And I mean, the ones in the Prime series are absolutely also cool too, just in a different way, and probably not my thing in terms of creature design. Plus, I'm not really big on cyborgs in general.

Poll be broke. If you can fix it, can you put the remove the Other M option and rename the first ones Zebesians? They are the same, after all. Yeah, I liked that. Some didn't even have a claw, they just had their cannon thing. I really like how they seem athletic, jumping about quickly and running around, it's a very nice effect.

Well, I voted for zebesians, but it said my vote was invalid for some reason I like the original design.

Yeah, it's still now working. I guess we'll have to do without. I'll tally up the votes by the end of the page and add it to the first post.

Visually, I'd have to say that I like the Zebesians. They're really quite unique, and they're entertaining to fight in Other M. They're so acrobatic and vicious, they seem like worthy adversaries for Samus. Also... Woo! My first post on these forums. Hello all!

I like the ones in Prime 2 for having the overall design of the original Zebesians, but also have the more intimidating aestetics of Metroid Prime.
