Do you dislike the lights for the same reason I do? To me they say "ok it's covered in glowing shit that means it's advanced power armor".

I wish they would take the opposite approach with the armor: simplify it, streamline it, make it look really sleek.

My favorite is, and probably always will be, the Corruption (Prime 2/Hunters) version of the Varia Suit. I'm a guy that likes detailing, and it has good proportions for the most part. Thus my choice. The Other M Varia Suit comes in very close behind though, then the Prime 1, and then the Super/Brawl version. I wonder if they'll make another redesign whenever Metroid comes to the Wii U. They'll either keep the Other M one for now, or try another overhaul... :cool:

Am I the only one here who's always been unimpressed with Other M's Varia Suit? Even in those early days where we only had trailers of Other M, I was unimpressed with the suit's design. The overkill simplicity just makes it really bland.
Because of the simplistic outline and the only detailing being essentially just stripes with just enough depth added to them as to not look spray-painted, the suit just strikes me as lazily designed. Then again, aesthetics is something the Primes really excelled at and got better with each installment (I'm talking about the trilogy, don't know about Hunters) so I guess it's really difficult to top them there.

I hate the Other M Varia suit as well.

I guess I'm going to have to go with Prime because of the attention to detail. Despite the monstrous Planets on Samus' soldiers, which do need to be toned down alot.

I dont like varia suit how i like the gravity,but the best Varia for me is from Other M
and Metroid 2 when she got a tanked body with varia suit

My thoughts as well. Brawl would be my non-canon choice, Super would be my canon.

Call me crazy, but I actually like the impression of weight in my fictional power armours. If something isn't patently weighing several dozen pounds then it's not power armour. The Prime/M:OM suits are too light and nimble in my mind.
