It's official Metroid isn't getting any official anniversery

I would just love to see Metroid get SOME recognition, like affordable Samus figures or Ridley or Metroid plushies, etc.

Well, we are getting a nice figma Samus action figure, and it's fairly affordable for its quality. Certainly better than the stupid Prime statues.

Or they feel ashamed about Other M's reception and are not doing anything Metroid-wise at all for another decade.

The future is not looking bright for this series. Kinda feels like the takeaway from Other M was "People don't like Metroid anymore."

I'm pretty satisfied with my copy of Metroid Prime Trilogy for anything anniversary specific, yet I would like to see updated or just a mash of all the main series games on a single disc with a second with bonus things like: art, music, interviews, etc sometime. Though with the reception of Other M, a company like Nintendo will put the series in a coma for some time, unless Retro or someone else harasses Nintendo to stop making the same Mario and Zelda game over and over and let us back in the world of Samus.
