Looks nice visually, but it doesn't give off much to show how the game will actually play yet.

Outbuddies looks like fun.
Support the Kickstarter, if you can.

At first glance, my thoughts are the sprite artwork and tiles looks extremely crude and unrefined. It doesn't even seem to be a stylistic approach, but more of inexperience and sloppiness.

If you haven't played Salt and Sanctuary (PC, PS4), you need to go get it. RIGHT. NOW. In terms of combat, it plays a little bit like 2D Dark Souls, but reminds me more of Castlevania in terms of map structure- it's a huge open world, through which you can find many shortcuts and secret paths, filled with loot and upgrades and other goodies. You'll have to backtrack in order to see everything the game has to offer, which is a ton- I put about twenty hours into my first playthrough and still missed a lot. The covenant system is surprisingly deep, with lots of unique upgrades and items available depending on what you pledge your allegiance to.
Oh, and it has two player local co-op., which makes sense because it was developed by a two-person husband and wife team,
Seriously, go buy it. I've put at least a hundred hours into it, and it's been worth every penny.
