Has anyone else noticed how cheap the online players are, disconnecting when they are about to lose?
Even though I am a balanced player (good at both sniping AND CQC), snipers do tend to get annoying. MH, don't foget that the attacks are enhanced in other ways besides damage! |
The multiplayer in Hunters would have been good if it wasn't totally broken. Ever wonder why most Counter-Strike servers ban the AWP? I'll give you a hint: Unfairly good sniping weapons aren't fun. Ever.
Yeah, my cousin beats the crap out of me with the imperialist. He's a major alt abuser too. As for the glitches, they only make the game more fun, like shadoworld, shadowfreeze, and other stuff makes it cool and more competitive. 3-D Metroid is real Metroid.

... my favorite parts were the cut scenes and the other hunters. And there was this one place where I was TOTALLY freaked out, all because of the music. I was like "EEeeeeeeeeeeee...!" Maybe have been one of the floating outposts. I don't remember. If they're done right, extra hunters can be cool. They just need to be done right.
Other than that, MEH to the max. Those bosses were INEXCUSABLE. And the scans were weird. I never suffered too much from the controls. Although I enjoyed multiplayer to an extent, I don't get the chance to play enough for it to be worthwhile. It was interesting to see how the "community" developed ways to communicate, though. IE Firing straight up means "I surrender!" And sharing friend codes via drawing with shots or counting them. I heard of one dude who surrendered and the guy he was playing against showed him all the neat secrets in the level they were playing on. ![]()

1.) Why would you even compare Pokémon and Metroid? 2.) Making a guide for a game doesn't automatically make it good. 3.) I still stand by my statement that the demo for Hunters was way more fun than the full game. |

What are you talking about? The DS isn’t heavy at all. How the heck are you holding it? I played several control-pad-and-stylus games, sometimes for hours on end, including Hunters, and I NEVER had a problem. My mother plays Brain Age on my old DS, she’s 61 and it doesn’t bother her. And now that the Lite is out, there is really no excuse to be complaining. Try it again on your Lite. Not that you have to play through the whole thing, but, just see if you like it better with the better control scheme. If your hand is still cramping, then the problem is clearly how you hold it. I am inclined to agree. I did have some fun with Hunters once I got used to it, which I wasn’t expecting because of the bad reviews. But it’s still not something I see myself replaying. |

1. Converting too? I'm sorry, but I find that it is perfectly possible to play more than one game in a given day. You just don't make sense. 2. Who cares? Your argument for Hunters being good was "But I wrote a guide for it!" and that's just retarded. 3. The full version is not always better, Hunters being a prime example (no pun intended). Also, I know perfectly well that it is called First Hunt. The fact that it is a demo of MPH does not change with this revelation. |

The first time I played through Hunters, I loved it. A while after I beat it and thought about it, I realized that, as a Metroid game, it sucks ass. If you think of it as just a DS game and not a Metroid game, it's decent. Think of it as a Samus adventure, and it makes one want to throw up.
One of my biggest complaints out of everything was the boss battles. There are only two different bosses. Two. In a Metroid game. Some kid in Africa who's never heard of a video game could hear those sentences and understand what is wrong with it. And how does the developer compensate for the lack of originality? By making you fight those two bosses four times. Woo. My biggest problem of all is how repetitive it is. Here's the sequence of events: 1) Go to planet. 2) Find three keys. 3) Take keys and find boss. 4) Fight and kill boss. 5) Take Octolith and get to back to ship in a certain amount of time. 6) Repeat eight times, then fight final boss. Congratulations! You beat the worst single-player Metroid game ever! |

Well, Hunters was developed with the almost single purpose of multi-player, so you shouldn't expect much of the single-player. |
