Um...where did the rumor that ALL Phazon is gone come from?

You know, with how deep you read into Hunters, I'd think you could at least read between the lines here. Samus was really the only only one who could fight Phazon at all, so the entire Phazon Wars were pretty much just her battle. As for it being just a twinkle of hope, I think it was saying, compared to all the evil out there, and what's still left to be done, Phazon isn't all that much at all.

As far as the games are concerned, all phazon is gone. If there is any more phazon in existence, it is too far away for Samus and the GF to ever have to worry about.

If there is more phazon, its probably in another dimension, as phazon was implied to be extra-dimensional. Wherever it is, as long as it stays there it will have no future impact on the series.

I'd have to agree with IU on this one.

While Samus may not be fighting phazon, the video does allow for speculation to still exist and an easy ploy for nintendo to be able to bring it back if necessary. I'm personally tired of phazon myself, so hopefully we won't see a re-emergence of it

I did read between the lines....just not in a way that goes along with the general fan speculation.

It was stated by Nintendo that all phazon in the galaxy is dead. There may well be more phazon elsewhere, but it isn't a problem due to being too far away. It doesn't really matter for the purposes of the games if there is any more out there or not, since we'll never be seeing it again.

BTW, my personal theory about phazon is that it is harmless in whatever reality it comes from, but grows out of control when introduced to our region of space/time. It would be interesting to speculate about a balanced ecosystem in which phazon is just one species among many.

We can never be sure if won't see phazon again. Because some one might come up with Metroid Prime zero or s/th [something] simmilar that shows how phaze was created.

I personally think that Phazon is dead. This is mostly because I don't see Phazon as a species, but as a single creature. Phaaze was it's heart. Dark Samus worked as its brain.

Yes, but there could be others of its kind, with other hearts. The monsters of Lovecraft's universe often had species of others like them, native to distant realities.

Makes you wonder how Phazon ever came into existence...and if the Phaaze which was destroyed in MP3 was really the true "heart" of all Phazon.

...oh, and hey. Were we ever actually told that the Leviathan that hit Tallon IV came from Phaaze? I mean, it was very different. There was even red Phazon. What if this came from one of Phaaze's "sister planets"?

It's not a rumor because the ending clearly states it. Phazon is gone. Phaaze was its source, and that planet has now been vaporized. I'd shed a tear, but to do anything beyond Prime 3's story arc would be stretching things too thin. The only place it's going to survive is in fanfiction. Time for Samus to fight something else.

Personally, I think Phazon is the result of a bioweapon or toxic waste. It's the planet Al Gore fled from to warn us of our impending doom and use his superpowers to save humanity.

Now...if I remember correctly, the ending stated that Samus's battle against Phazon is over and the galaxy is safe for a while. It didn't say that all of Phazon is dead, but it meant that we probably won't see anymore Phazon again.
Which I think is good. No need to make the Phazon subplot any longer. Samus needs something new and original to kill in many, many ways.

I would personally like to never see phazon again either. It gets dull after a few games, if not the first. I don't care if it still exists somewhere else, as long as they keep it out of any possible future games.

It's a euphemism for 'no more phazon.' You can read whatever you want into it, but it's not meant to be anything other than that.

Honestly, it's not that great a line anyway. Plus, it's obnoxiously voiced over the credits, ruining the track IMO.
