Re: Metroid Prime had a Charge Meter.I noticed it, but it was one of those things that blended into things to the point where I didn't find it noteworthy.

I feel the same way. I just thouht it wa a neat feature, than got over it. |

Re: Metroid Prime had a Charge Meter.I remember it from the GC version and did notice it was gone from the Trilogy version.
But, seeing as how partially charging a beam and releasing it seems to have the same effect as fully charging a beam and releasing it (in Trilogy, anyway), it doesn't make sense to have it anymore. And I've tested the hell out of partially charged beams; they are, as far as I've been able to tell (and I've practiced it a lot), just as powerful as fully charged beams. |

Re: Metroid Prime had a Charge Meter.I'm in the middle of Echoes right now, and I think (I'm not sure) that if you shoot a Space Pirate with a fully charged Power Beam it will kill it, but not a partially charged shot. I think. It's the Trilogy version, not sure if it's any different from the original in that regard.
But still, you can pretty much tell when the beam is fully charged anyway. ![]()
