Here's a new Friend Voucher:

Kill 20 Space Pirate Commandos: Zap 20 SPC's and get yourself a prize! It's pretty easy to do this in the drill area, particularly if like me you coudln't figure out what to do for awhile :P

You also don't get any more Friend Vouchers for killing increments of 100 enemies after you killed 900 enemies.

Hey, for some reason the FAQ does not show up as a green link, Cap.

Actually, the list on your game file tells you how many you have recieved from and sent to each person. And there is a thread in a different part of these forums for Friend codes. Cap, you should probably link that in the first post if you haven’t already.

Totals
108 Red Credits, 51 Blue Credits, 52 Gold Credits, and 15 Friend Credits.
There are exactly 108 Creature scans, so you must fill the Creatures section of your logbook for enough Red Creditsto buy everything. There are 48 Lore scans, and if you save all possible troopers on the G.F.S. Olympus at the beginning of the game, you will get 3 more Blue Credits( and a Friend Voucher). Exact, again. Completing my first run through the game, I had 28 Gold Credits. I defeated, as far as I know, all red Phaazoids, including the 8 listed below, obviously all bosses were also defeated, and I also got Gold Credits for Juggling Bonus - 10 and All Troopers Saved in the Demolition Squad Escort sequence. Clearly, it is impossible to buy everything without running through at least two difficulty settings on one file - possibly all three, depending on how many gold credits are re-awarded. There are significantly more than 15 Friend Voucher, but these are divided between the easiest and most difficult tasks to achieve.

If anyone has corrections, feel free.

I considered editing my old post to add new Voucher techniques, but I would just have to post every time anyway to tell you I updated, so here is a fun new one:

•Icy Reptilicide: Weaken a Reptilicus with a charge shot, then freeze it with a missile just after it throws its chakram. It will be shattered by the return flight of its own weapon!

I also got the titles for the other ones I mentioned before:
•100 Kills
•200 Kills
•300 Kills
•400 Kills
•500 Kills
•600 Kills
•700 Kills
•800 Kills
•900 Kills
•Juggling Bonus - 20( I wonder if there might be more at 30, 40, etc.?)
•GF Trooper Saved( I was right, most of the “GF Trooper(s) Saved”s are Blue Credits, but this one is a Friend Voucher.)

I wonder why Retro gave some of these cool names( Icy Reptilicide FtW) and some just get boring descriptions( like “20 Commandos Defeated”)?

Edit: Removing asterisk and footnote now that I have unlocked everything and confirmed my price predictions, also, forgot to give totals as promised, added those and an analysis thereof.

Please, guys, direct all Wii Code exchanges to the designated thread. That will make it easier for us to maintain one unified list, thereby helping everybody on the board synchronize their Wii contact lists more efficiently.

This particular thread is just designed to help us build a definitive guide for the use of tokens and friend vouchers in Prime 3, since the developer sure as hell didn't do a very good job of documenting it.

If you want to add your Wii Code to the list (as well as find our codes), follow the above link.

I just had something not so funny happen to 3 of my friend tokens. I don't remember if this was pointed out earlier by Capcom or Metroid Guy. But I put some emphasis on it anyway.

My first file is my game completed file ( the one I scanned most of everything so there's not many friend vouchers to be made.) Which I'm not replaying right now because I want to start a fresh game and farm some tokens. And in this (1st) file I've started spending my tokens you guys give me to unlock stuff.

My second file is the one I'm using just to farm. All the the extras I bought in the 1st file are not unlocked in the 2nd file.

So 1st file - I'm unlocking stuff with the tokens
2nd file - I'm not unlocking stuff, just playing through to earn vouchers to send out - I will delete the file when I beat the game.

My problem is I've been punching in the extras page on my 2nd file, while I've been playing, and some vouchers were sent to me which I accepted (because I need tokens) but now I've accepted the vouchers for the 2nd file and I can't transfer them to my first file. And those 3 tokens can only unlock stuff in the 2nd file (the file that I will delete because most of the stuff I unlocked is in the first file.)

BOTTOM LINE : when you get that notice window that someone has been awesome enough to give you a token, Don't be so giddy with joy and hit that confirm button unless you are DAMN sure you are on the right save file.

I won't delete file #2 now, I use file #3. Cuz maybe in a few months, we'll have more tokens than we need and it might be cool to have all the stuff unlocked on all the save files.

As neat as the Tokens are, I really think they're annoying as hell. I mean, the bonus material is nice and all, but they could have done it better...

Here are all the Red Phaazoid locations (from GameFAQs)

Grand Court, Bryyo
Jousting Field, Bryyo
Gel Processing Site, Bryyo
Concourse Ventilation, SkyTown
Construction Bay, SkyTown
Phazon Harvesting, Pirate Homeworld
Metroid Creche, Pirate Homeworld
Transit Station 0204, Pirate Homeworld

Red Phaazoids don't respawn, so there can't possibly be enough Gold Tokens. If you want more Gold Tokens, you'll have to beat the bosses on a different difficulty setting (or just copy your save file and unlock the other stuff you're missing - it just won't all be in one place :P).

Oh, that makes sense now. I was wondering why there weren't any Phaazoids anymore in this one room, I'm assuming it's because I killed the red one.

From what I have seen, Phaazoids don’t respawn at all( which makes sense, since they are leftover energy from a seed’s destruction). Once you clear a room, red one or not, they stay gone.

I kind of like them, they are the first enemies in the Prime series which can deal HUGE damage( and you have to take damage to defeat them!) but are challenging but not too hard to destroy, kind of like Metroids should be.

Also, a new friend voucher:
•Harvester Destroyed: That massive Harvester drone in the Mines? Stun it, then have your ship do a bombing run.

And if anyone was wondering but has not been able to test it, saving all 12 Demolition Troopers is NOT a Friend Voucher, it’s just a Gold Credit.( If you want it, use Hyper Mode a LOT. You can easily recharge yourself in the pool of Phazon at Transit Tunnel P70 before you have to fight the Commander Squad.)

I've got 10 vouchers sitting around, Inf. I haven't sent you any more b/c you still owe me a couple :P

Speaking of Friend Voucher tricks, can't you just copy your data to an SD card and then delete your Prime 3 data on your own Wii and then copy the SD data over and transfer everything off your Wii again? That way, you've got an infinite Voucher engine without needing two Wii's. I don't have an SD card, so I can't try it, but it sounds like it would work if copying SD data saves Vouchers.

Oh yeah, I don't remember if we cleared this up earlier, but for the target practice game:

Score 10 to get a gold token
Score 20 to get a friend voucher.

I am not good enough to get 30 or more. I also don't know if you'd get a bonus for juggling two at once :P

Yes, that should work, I mentioned it in an earlier post in this thread.
AMetroidGuy wrote:BTW, that SD card stuff could be used in farming. Copy to SD, send vouchers, delete save, copy from SD, rinse, repeat. Just make sure that nobody sends you more unitl you’re done, unless you don’t care about keeping them.

Yeah, I think I did mention that, but it looks like it was in another thread. Good to have in this thread. Be even better to have in the FAQ. :-P

Anyway, posting to say I added totals and an analysis thereof to my earlier price list. Here they are again, if you’re too lazy to scroll up.

108 Red Credits, 51 Blue Credits, 52 Gold Credits, and 15 Friend Credits.

Oh, and one more Voucher:
•Secret Message Discovered: Find AU 313’s final pre-abduction recording by entering a code found in the last room of the Valhalla into a terminal in the same room.

Odd how I missed this topic.

AMetroidGuy wrote:•Every hundred kills, at least up to 900, probably beyond.

Everybody keeps saying 900, but 1000 was the limit for me, though it stopped giving me Vouchers after that. I'm going to check this for sure though; I had planned on starting Voucher Farming once I finished this Hypermode difficulty game.

AMetroidGuy wrote:•Save the G-Fed dude from getting spaced when the hull is breached.( I think... that might just be a Blue Credit, but pretty sure it’s a Friend Voucher.)

The other three spots where you can save Troopers are Blue Credits, but this one's a Friend Voucher alright.

Miss Aran wrote:#4 - "Blind Eye": Max Amount (1): Shot the Seed's eye(s) a couple of times when you're inside the Leviathan at the Pirate Homeworld (after entering the terminal).

When I did this, it said "Leviathan Humiliated".

CapCom wrote:I am not good enough to get 30 or more. I also don't know if you'd get a bonus for juggling two at once :P

No idea on that, but my current record is 58 juggles, and I never got anything past 20, so I doubt there's anything else that comes out of this minigame.

As for the Red Phaazoids, there are 10, and I listed the last 2 locations not already mentioned here in another thread, but I'll note those two here as well if people want/need me to.

There's two more Vouchers nobody's mentioned in this topic. Using the Gel Cavern shortcut on Bryyo for the first time nets you one, and throwing all three switches in North Jungle Court without Aerotroopers resetting any gets you another. I don't remember the names for either.

The Prima guide claims that you can receive another Friend Voucher for destroying the Phazon Harvester Drone on Veteran. I forgot to try that, but I did destroy it in Hypermode and got nothing, which makes me think that's a mistake in the guide (considering it also claimed you got Gold Credits for beating all the bosses in Veteran, which you don't). Hopefully someone playing a Veteran game right now will remember to check.
