Hmmm, I played the original prime, original corruption, and the trilogy. And none was too hard to me.

OP was the hardest thing in prime for me, and still can give me some trouble on trilogy.
Corruption is cake, hypermode makes everything way too easy IMO. Died once with Mogenar, and once in the pirate homeworld for thinking the acid rain was that bad >__>.
Never played MP2, but Echoes Wii was easier than that. I guess the controls alone really makes the 3 games more easy.

It wasn't the most fun I've ever had, but I liked it a lot more than Metroid I. I did use a walkthrough, though...

Believe it or not, some Dark Bloggs in Prime 2.

It was light. I was technically staying up later than I was supposed to, but I just finished fighting the Power Guardian. So I was going to get a save point, but decided to stay up a little longer, go to Light Aether and grab a secret I could now get. Since I didn't save, when the Dark Bloggs killed me I had to go fight the Power Guardian again.

It was hilarious though, because I got destroyed by those Bloggs. And I normally don't have much trouble with them.

I kept stepping in the Phazon, he kept cornering me... all sorts of terrible things kept happening.
He's not so bad now though.

Prime 2: Boost Guardian
I have a story with this one.
At one point in time, I got way too over-confident. I was just plowing through the game thinking
"YES YES YES YES! I CAN WIN! I FEEL GREAT! I. CAN. DO. THIS!". Then I got to the collapsing bridge right before the boss in question and thought, "Wait.....maybe I should save...". At which point I realized I couldn't get back. Long story short, he killed me, and I had to start from the last save.
ALL THE WAY BACK FROM WHEN I FIRST ENTERED AGON WASTES.
That sucked.

Didn't have much trouble with Prime 3 though.

In Super Metroid, I was plowing though the game. I did a bunch of crazy sequence breaks, early spazer, skipped Spore Spawn, etc.

After I got the Power Bombs early (Before Ice Beam + High Jump) by wall jumping up the main Red Brinstar shaft, I went to get an expansion in a room upwards from the first Power Bomb room. I _STRONGLY_ underestimated the damage giant Sidehoppers did to Varialess Samus. I got killed in seconds.

Turns out, I get returned to the start of the game (Landing on Zebes, not Ceres Station) because I never saved.
