Trilogy credits glitch?

I'm just wondering if this is a genuine issue or I'm just missing something here. I've been reading up on some tricks on how to get more credits than normal and the like, and although I haven't actively been doing such things, it has somewhat messed up my grip on the whole system of it (the whole deal of having separate savefiles and doing small credit runs, then deleting the saves and whatnot). So i'm just asking...

When i got my hands on the wii and the trilogy, i first went over Corruption on Normal. All went well, i got plenty of credits. Afterwards though, i deleted the Corruption save since i felt it was a bad start: something as holy as this has to be played properly, starting at Prime 1 over Echoes to Corruption and on Veteran with a decent portion of seriousness, no distractions and a high quality setup in a clean room. As expected, i could keep all my credits

A bit later, i fired up the game again after finishing Other M and set it to Veteran, then deleted the file after beating the Berserker Lord on the Olympus. I had gotten bored but got a grip again and started playing Prime 1 and 2 on Veteran first, again getting credits when expected. Today however, something weird happened...

I fired up Corruption, set it to Veteran and started playing. In the meantime, I've beaten Rundas already but I still haven't gotten a single credit for anything. :-?

I figured it might be because of the little run in between or because i had gone over Corruption before. But my first run was on Normal and obviously you can re-earn the same credits by playing on different difficulty levels (how else can you ever get all of the credits you need to unlock everything, eh?). The little run in between was on Veteran, but i never even got to Norion and i deleted the file.

I really don't see what could be preventing me from receiving my credits here, would anyone happen to have an idea?

Edit: i did however get a single red credit for scanning a Reptilicus on Bryyo, but that's just one of the dozen i should've got by now...

It seems you have erased your files too many times

You may have to erase your whole profile slot to fix this, or keep playing, I didn't do this more than once so I dont know. Also to unlock everything, you need the friend credits, so you cant really cheat that with this method.

Edit: rewriting this stuff to make sure nobody gets it wrong...

Game save = the prime, echoes and corruption game progress
Save slot = the 3 larger saves, each with their own mii linked to them

-bought the game
-played Corruption on normal, finished it, bought some stuff, erased the game save.
-started Corruption on Veteran, deleted the game save after beating the Berserker, before going to Norion
-finished Prime and Echoes on Veteran
-started Corruption on Veteran
-have already defeated Rundas, but have received only 1 credit so far, namely for scanning a Reptilicus (which i had scanned in my run on Normal already)

All done on the same save slot, mii has not been changed since day 1.

IMHO, it doesn't make sense not to at least get the yellow credits again, especially with the game itself literally saying you can "earn these credits by beating bosses on different difficulty levels". Or is that just a by-product of their drunkenness when they came up with the friend credits stuff? So would this be a glitch or is the credit system just really programmed to be a pain in the butt? If all of this is how it's supposed to be, it'd be "normal" to not be able to get all of the bonuses, which by itself just doesn't make sense again.

Ddddd, i didn't actually do any of those tricks and i am aware about the friend vouchers. The problem is that i'm not getting any credits anymore, not for scanning stuff, not for defeating bosses, not for anything. On a new save slot, i was able to get 5 credits already in the very first room of the game by scanning a few things and doing the drone juggling. It'd make sense not to get the same credits if i played it on Normal again, but now i'm on Veteran and i didn't even get any from the boss fights thus far. How are you ever supposed to be able to unlock everything if you can't get enough credits in 1 save slot? I can hardly imagine them forcing you to work across multiple save slots to get a couple of bonuses in one, a few more in the second and all the rest in the third.

Does anyone have an idea what's going on? Deleting the game save didn't work, i still can't get any credits. If this goes on, i literally won't be able to get any of th remaining bonuses, ever.

Probably retro never though that people would erase their game saves multiple times, which causes these credit glitches. Erase the profile, that should fix it. And if you really want those bonuses, download a game data with everything unlocked and replace it with what you have.

So you're saying i just forced myself through all of Prime and Echoes on Veteran for the complete experience for nothing as i now have to delete all of that >_<

i... hate... credit... systems... -_-;

You get the same credits for playing Normal as for playing Veteran. You get new credits when you play Hypermode. If you're playing through Veteran after playing through Normal (which it sounds like you're doing) then that's why you're not getting any new credits. :s-logo:

Normal and Veteran share the same credits. Hyper mode is the only one wiht seperate credits, and they are only boss credits.

Guys, he ERASED his file and got further into the game than previous times. Even though he already got the credits, he should be getting them again because of the glitch, and obviously he should be getting the gold credits on bosses on hyper. So, something is going wrong here.

I know I'm missing 4 gold credits in MPT. I beat the game on hyper mode with 100%. Hmm...
