It's easy to tell once you play the game. Combat Mode is a bonus round where Samus stands up in the center and can shoot the enemies that come at you. She auto-aims, so it's all in the timing.

I'm not sure you'll have much luck in most stores. I think you should look for it in a store specialized in used games, like GameStop, or look for it on the web, like on Ebay or Amazon.

Depends were you live, in most cities you will find plenty of used game shops, you may get lucky and find a copy there. At worst you may find other games at a really cheap price you may want to find during your search.

Look up videos of gameplay on youtube and other gaming sites (gamespot, IGN, etc)- after watching a playthrough that should be about good enough to give you an idea of the game.

I mean, it's just pinball, so don't expect anything else to take center stage.
