Re: Metroid Prime WalkthroughUmm, wow. I haven't played Prime in 2-3 years, and I can remember what order you go through in the game. Why do you need a Walk through for a game that is simple? Just a basic metroid game, Start here, go here, get this, go here, get this, and it just repeats.
sorry to be a bother/mean one, if it sounds that way. |

Re: Metroid Prime Walkthrough
If you're using the hint system it could be that easy, otherwise the game doesn't tell you where to go at all and it can be difficult to navigate. Plus the map doesn't get filled in until you actually enter and explore the area or until you reach a map station. Even if you are using the hint system the game only shows the room you're supposed to go to leaving the actual path hidden. Honestly, the way you describe it sounds as if you're talking about the linearity of Other M. @Flobertroid: If your friend wants to read the scans I'm pretty sure the metroidwiki has them up on their site. I don't know of any video walkthroughs that will show all the scans. |

Re: Metroid Prime Walkthrough
Umm, I don't need the Hint system, I can start a new game on any metroid Prime game, and finish within a 5-6 hour period. No map stations or anything, skipping every cut-scene too. Trust me, I have the Trilogy, I've played all of them at least 10 times each. But I can see that if you're a newb you'd need the hint system, otherwise, I'll do a no hint run. I'd be back in 6 hours at the most. |

Re: Metroid Prime WalkthroughMetroidHunters is a good choice.
"Yeah, right, trying to trick me again. Well, Harley Quinn is nobody's fool, anymore."
I really love Wikia, FOX and Nintendo. Really... -_- |

Re: Metroid Prime WalkthroughIf I geta capture card I will do a LP of the game and I will do a 100% run with all pickups and scans.

Re: Metroid Prime Walkthrough
I almost did with MP2, but I had no idea where the last 4% of scan were before Emp. ing. |
|
Re: Metroid Prime WalkthroughThe official Nintendo Power guide (It's a book, a book is like the Internet made out of a tree) tells you the most efficient order to collect 100% of the pickups, and what/when to scan to completely fill the logbook.
When somebody tells me he doesn't believe in violence, I punch him in the face to inform him of its existence.

Re: Metroid Prime Walkthrough
I rather watch a video. |

Re: Metroid Prime WalkthroughWell, as we say, beggars can't be choosers. Reading scans on a blurry, artifacted youtube video wouldn't be good anyhow. You wouldn't be able to read anything.
I guess there could be a Let's Play, but at that point, you might as well print up a FAQ and do a 100% yourself. I don't think there's anything "newbish" about using the hint system; it's like saying you are a newb for running in Super Mario Bros. "Oh, you run? Well, I guess if you're a newb you need to- but I can beat it walking~~~" The only time Hints are obnoxiously obvious are in Prime 3, and in Zero Mission (and arguably, other M, but those aren't really hints), but the former still leaves some things open and the latter can be sequence-broke so thoroughly as to disregard the hint system entirely.

Re: Metroid Prime Walkthrough
I wasn't questioning anybody's skill. All I'm saying is that the game is far less simple than you described. |

Re: Metroid Prime Walkthrough
Not really...I mean, the game is extremely simple after the Wave Beam... |
