So what if Nintendo/Retro Studios ported Trilogy to the Wii U? With 1080p Graphics. And expansion upon the Multiplayer mode. I'm talking Prime 1 and Prime 3 maps, beams, and addons + Online Games.
I think this would be awesome.

Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy Wii U Port.Personally? I wouldn't particularly care for it. We already have the originals, and then the Trilogy re-release with new play control, so I think that's plenty. No need to milk it anymore.

Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy Wii U Port.1080p graphics? What does that even mean?
If anything, the upscaling would really show the age of the Prime textures, and it would look pretty bad. Plus, the multiplayer in Echoes, while fun to dick around in, ultimately sucks because you are not an agile killing machine, but a lumbering tank. Not exactly death-match material.

Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy Wii U Port.
I think the killer about Prime having multiplayer in general is the lock-on system. As long as that is present, Prime Multiplayer will never work, even if she wasn't a tank. "Cut! Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy Wii U Port.My opinion on why I don't think we need another release of MPT:
1. MP multiplayer was awful. They'd have to completely change it to give it even a chance at success, and I doubt they'd put the effort into it. 2. As previously mentioned, upscaling would show the game's age. 3. I bought each game individually, brand new. Then I bought the Trilogy disc. I've spent more money on this trilogy than most other series. I'm not really looking to buy another version, and I don't think most of our users here are, either, you know? 4. On the Wii U, what would they do for control inputs to really make it unique? I feel like going back to analog on the GamePad would be taking a step back, and I'm not really interested in using the GamePad to aim at things and scan them into the LogBook. So, there it is. I don't think that another version is necessary. "I am tired of being under the weight of greedy men who don't believe in anything."

Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy Wii U Port.
Handle it like a kickstarter: If it sells 10 thousand copies they'll get rid of the mole and the heels. 20 thousand gets you an actual soundtrack. 50k for analog controls. 500k and they'll bring Jennifer Hale back. 1 million to get Retro to make it. Etc, etc... They would be rolling in cash. |
