I was just playing Prime 1 again yesterday to do some fanfic research. I'm finding I *really* miss the Wii controls now.

Well guys, the rumor is now official.

They are porting MP1 and 2 to the Wii.

To me, porting Gamecube games for the Wii is pretty pointless, especially since the Wii can actually play Gamecube games. I'm not spending 50 bucks for a pair of "Wii-enhanced" GameCube games when I already got them both for about 25.

Honestly, if I am going to continue replaying the Prime games, I would probably pay $50 to be able to do it with the Wii rather than the GC controls. Assuming the Wii controls are done well (doing weapon and visor switching right is going to be hard; notice how they punted on it for MP3).

They'd probably put Beam switching on the (+) Button, since it's just sitting there alone with no Hypermode for it.

Still, I prefer the GCN Controller, since it's just more natural to me. If these remakes don't have an option for that, then there might be trouble.

Probably. But if that worked like the visor switch it would interrupt game play. Switching beams in mid-jump gets a little trickier...

Hmm... I´m not interested on those ports at all, because I have got some of the games, and I can get the other games and stuff that I don´t have from my neighbours.

Yeah I personally won't be purchasing these ports, especially when Nintendo decides to sell them for $30 a pop.

However, I'm glad that they're trying to get more people out there to play the Primes, they're truly great games. I may rent them if I ever get the time, but there's no way I'd purchase the same game twice, just because it has wiimote controls.

It's kind of annoying that this is announced just after I get the light suit in my second run of MP2E. But this is awesome! Fully redone graphics and multiplayer, as well as a single combined game that transitions well would be nice, but I doubt we'll get any of that. On the other hand, MP2E had multiplayer, and we'll be getting that...
