I don't think Ridley is ugly at all. He's not cute, either. He's just kinda cool looking, but ugly = no.

I'd say Ridley is hot, but somebody would stone me. Haha

Maybe my last complaint, if only because I stopped playing OM almost two weeks ago.

Samus's death animation sucked. Sucked sucked sucked. It looked ridiculous and would only happen three seconds after you were hit by a killing blow, because it only played when your molasses-slow energy drain completed. And since you had to be on the ground and standing, you couldn't even die out of recoil.

It wasn't helped by the "SNAAAAAAAAAAAKE" dumb audio.

That the vast majority of the cutscenes were at the beginning and end of the game with almost nothing in the middle. Fusion did a much better job of giving you just a small bite of story at a time.

I didn't like the forced 1st-person segments AT ALL. It forced you to find a very tiny part of the scenery, and you couldn't progress without going on this irritating pixel hunt! >_<X It's probably the only things where consulted a walkthrough for help.

I also didn't like the over-the-shoulder segments eiether. It seems as though it was leftover from when the game was controlled by a wiimote/nunchuk combo, and it SHOWS.

Oh, and NO SKIP BUTTON FOR CUTSCENES!

You can skip the cutscenes with the '-' button, but only after you have completed the game.

Still, they really should have let you use it from the get-go.

Is that only in Hard mode?

Or can you skip cutscenes in any save file after beating the game on one?

You can skip 'em on any difficulty on any save file after you've beaten the game once.

The game doesn't work out very well when you just skip the cutscenes. Some of the transitions are really jarring. Although I suppose that highlights how little time you actually spend playing the game.

Yeah, the cutscenes only served the purpose of padding.

The cutscenes were negligible. You got quite a good chunk of gameplay until you got the next one (unless you're speedrunning or something, in which case you could just skip them)
Truly they probably could have used more to develop the plot/characters. Or perhaps they could have used their cutscene time more wisely xD
The only one that bugged me was the big ten minute stretch of nothing right there at the end of the game >>

Another problem: they forgot to disguise the loading. If you're going at an especially fast pace (E.G. Speed Booster, morph ball shooters), you're gonna see a "now loading" message at the bottem left part of the screen if the game can't handle the speed.

Perhaps...but it'd probably cause another glitch if doors didn't load the way they did. It'd also make the Speed Booster inert since now the doors don't prevent the loss of speed/momentum.
Even the strongest of people can have their faith broken. Mine has.
