Or it could be done like Super Metroid. If you are running fast and go through a door, it dims the screen for a moment while it catches up and then you enter the next room after the loading. Just make sure it can load each entire room at a time.

I didn't really mind the loading. At least it doesnt just stop, or make it seem like its not doing anything, you know its just loading.
And it mostly happened (to me) when I was going through areas at a faster rate, collecting items. At least you dont lose your speed boost when it happens, so I'm happy.

If the door does takes too long, you do lose the speed boost. That ticked me off the few times it happened, along with the fact that if you move towards the door too quickly (Like a shinespark), the game totally freezes as opposed to just not opening the door while letting you do other things.

I've never had that happen. Maybe its an issue with your Wii and the dual layer disc?

The only thing I dislike is that the bosses are sooo easy to kill.
