Would it be bad to say that I liked the upgrade system given the circumstances. It's not like the bottleship would have chozo artifacts. If anyone complains about it I just refer them to Super where there's no reason what-so-ever that Samus loses her stuff and no explanation of how it's back on Zebes after she's already gotten them the first time.

As for the cutscenes and all that, I personally thought they did as good as they could have. Mostly just the first and last cutscenes are really long, which isn't bad.
As for the Metroid Queen, it was quite a pleasant surprise for me to be blown away by this. For some reason I think it was a little more epic then the Mother Brain fight to me.
The authorization idea is a neat idea, but it was executed poorly. They didn't use logic in determining where some items should be unlocked.

Well, yeah that's true for some parts, I expected to get the varia suit just after the first get torched part, because usually it's sorta like that in the other games. You find a really hot/cold room and it's just like "Woah" and leave and go kill a boss and get it.

The novel combat system. I think it should be explored some more. It could be made to work a lot better I'm sure.

Way after the fact, but I just wanted to put down some things I liked about Other M.

-The game play was fun and dynamic; it was fun to flip around and jump on top of enemies.
-I loved that I didn't have to mess around with the camera much and could just concentrate on the game.
-Visually, Other M is my second favorite behind Super Metroid, and it was really cool how much homage to previous installments of the series was present. I loved the throw-back to brightly colored, organic aliens.
-Ridley's boss theme remix rocked, the the soundtrack overall was nicely atmospheric.
-Just my opinion clearly, as I know it's a hot-button topic, but Samus' character, while grating at times, I've decided I generally like more than I did before. She's flawed, human, has a personality, and is therefore not cookie-cutter Boring Action Chick. She's not my favorite female protagonist, but I appreciate her a lot more now. :)

I honestly hope we get another Metroid game from Team Ninja, and I'm very sure that if we do, they'll have all the kinks ironed out. <3

I agree with all of this, but one thing I never understood was, what was the point of "The Deleter"?

I liked how it explained ingame why samus gave the thumbs-down at briefings (cuz i was reading in another forum that people were talking about how juvenile samus got).
Also, (im surprised no one mentioned this yet) one of the soldiers tries, and fails, doing an overblast on the brug mass. I also love the terminals, but they could have at least given us a prompt in first-person to activate it and/or a "press a to activate" kind of thing.

And I think I mentioned the trooper trying to Overblast the Brug Mass somewhere on this board rather recently. I might not have. But I meant to. If I did, it would have been in the "Other M Weirdness" (not exact topic title) topic. I thought it was pretty funny, 'cause the 'Mass just tossed him about. XD

Nevermind then.

I'm glad you mentioned it, 'cause I'm quite certain it was one of the various things I only thought about posting but never did for some various reason.

Thanks, i think.

I played a bit farther, and i really like how the speed booster lookes, but was surprised at the shinespark for always travelling in an arc(from what i can see). I also like the "Concentration" feature, sensemoves, and the accel charges.
