Re: crocomires originsCrocomire probably evolved from a fire crocodile species native to Zebes.
There's your answer.

Re: crocomires originsLMAO.. that was short and sweet!
Nice EI.. very nice! VGM out... Super Metroid, the most perfect game ever created! Period!

Re: crocomires originsYeah, pretty much what EI said.
Also, DbM... No offense, but could you try to post more clearly? Some punctuation would be nice. |
|
Re: crocomires originsHe's just another creature on Zebes... would you like us to plot him an evolutionary tree? What's there to explain here?

Re: crocomires originsNo I just thought I would ask

Re: crocomires originsA natural Zebesian creature? A deadly guard-beast imported from offworld? A Space Pirate biomech? A native creature augmented and twisted by Mother Brain's genetic and cybernetic applications? Could be any of the above.
However, based on a) the creature's similarity in appearance to other creatures of Norfair, and b) the fact that it was unbelievably hard to kill and resistant to Samus' weapons in particular, my money in on the last one. |

Re: crocomires originsHrmm...
Kraid is a large claw-wielding reptilian creature with multiple eyes. Shooting it's eyes will open it's mouth. Crocomire is a smaller (yet still large) claw-wielding reptilian creature with multiple eyes. Shooting it's eyes will open it's mouth. Could they be related? |

Re: crocomires origins
Is Crocomire fat as hell? No. Is Crocomire green? No. Can Crocomire shoot spikes out of his belly? Nope. I can see why you think that, but they're not related. Thanks CC For The Sig!"Statement: Oh, do shut up, you beeping little trash compactor." ―HK-47 to T3-M4 |

Re: crocomires originsHis name was Jalilieon and he was but a small lizard that lived amongst Chozo on Zebes. He was one of their most cherished pets. Then Samus arrived. The Chozo immediately began to shower all that remained of their affection towards her. They spent less and less time with Jalilieon, pushing him aside in favor of that girl and her little pet rat. Then one day, something happened. Samus saw Jalilieon and began to play with him. He grew somewhat close to Samus over the years. As he got bigger, he would help Samus with her training by trying to shove her off her feet. The Chozo would continue to praise Samus for her continued progress, but never once acknowledged Jalilieon for his contributions. As a result, he grew resentful of the Chozo, and of Samus because of how she received all of their attention. Eventually Samus would leave Zebes, but it had been so long since she arrived, that the Chozo had almost entirely forgotten about Jalilieon. He hid away in a lava-filled cavern deep in the depths of Norfair, never to be seen again. But the Mother Brain could hear his sorrow and hatred. She reached out to him and he responded. She offered him the power he needed to be able to kill Samus, and he accepted it with glee. Shortly thereafter, Samus returned to Zebes and Jalilieon knew that his chance to kill her was finally at hand. When she reached his cavern, he emerged as the new creature Crocomire. His body was now gruesomely bloated, and he was much stronger than ever before. But alas, Samus still proved to be even stronger. His death was left to the fate of the lava that pooled in his cavern. But that did not stop his final attempt to quench his hatred, as he lunged at Samus, his flesh oozing off his bones. He ultimately failed, his body a mere pile of bones now. It was only then that Samus recognized Crocomire for who he really was: Jalilieon, one of her childhood friends.

Re: crocomires originsI thought Crocomire just wanted to give Samus a hug.
Now my entire teenagehood is ruined. Thanks CC For The Sig!"Statement: Oh, do shut up, you beeping little trash compactor." ―HK-47 to T3-M4 |

Re: crocomires origins"Horrible death Croc" doesn't seem to be a pirate leader or figure as he doesn't appear in the statue, he might be just a f*cking big bug of Norfair, and apparently, an unused enemy species, the stoke(?) is a mini-me version of him. (not a clone 1/8 the size, just a little cousin)
