Kraid. Good boss or unneeded boss? You decide. :kraid:

Well, first I was all like "Aw, look at the wittle guy!* <3 :kraid:
and then Kraid was like

to which I responded O_O
Seriously though, on the Super Nintendo, seeing a boss that made Samus look like a chew toy was pretty humbling after having just killed his bite-sized clone. He certainly fit the idea of turning convention on its head slightly. Between your mission being to save a metroid and being rendered completely helpless against what used to be a simple, straight-forward bossfight not once, but twice, Kraid's manipulation of your expectation for what the fight would be like and what actually happened makes him a perfect fit for Super. Now I'd just like to see them repeat that kind of experience... :choogle:

I'd consider him "reasonably difficult". Certainly not a pushover but still fun to fight! :kraid: More interesting than the fight with :ridley: where you just shoot and pray pretty much. In that game though, I have to cast my vote for best boss fight to Mother Brain. Between the epic theme and the whole baby metroid thing, it was just interesting. *Insert Mother Brain smiley here*

I think Kraid is a good boss because people make funny videos with Kraid and Kraid is the best Metroid connection to Godzilla.
Phazon, you can run from it,but you can't hide from it.

he was no pushover although he was not really hard.

it took me a while killing as its not easy to get the missioles into his mouth.
a loit of times ifell off the things he fires for standing on.

I think he is easier in Super Metroid than Zero Mission. He's pretty difficult in NES Metroid though. I just roll into morph ball and start laying bombs. It works.

yes he is much tougher for sure in the NES metroid.
he is small but he packs a punch with his spikes. :s-grav:
bombing him is the best way ti kill him.

I think he's a great boss. Out of all the bosses in Super Metroid I had the most trouble with him.
