Re: The world needs Metroid 5
It's hard to judge Jessica Martin as a VA because Samus had a grand total of one cool line. It's like calling a quarterback bad when the coach is calling running plays on every down. Also the coach doesn't have a complete grasp on how football works. |
|
Re: The world needs Metroid 5That was a terrible analogy!
Anyways, here's something I've been wondering about. If Metroid V is about Samus vs the Feds then eventually you're going to have to fight troopers, right? How is that going to work? I'm trying to imagine Samus shooting a super missile at a normal guy and it ain't pretty. |

Re: The world needs Metroid 5I actually found a way past that Okey, and it doesn't involve
either. In an old prime log from the first game, they mention how zebes base was destroyed in the original. They mention about the reasearch vessel orpheon, which you are currently on, BUT they mention 2 OTHER SHIPS. These ships were never mentioned again, therefore, these are still in space, full of metroids and pirates. If you want to hear more, I'm making a fan game about it at the site on my SigForget queen metroid, I'M THE KING!

Re: The world needs Metroid 5The answer is simple. All you have to do is to make some troopers tough enough to take it. In my personal fanon, there are troopers wearing reverse-engineered knockoffs of Samus' gear. It's a bit less powerful, but there are several variants, and teamed up they make more than a match for Samus. (Especially since there's an army and they are actively hunting her down.) Maybe they could make a few appearances? Every once in a while you would run into one at complete random, you would fight it, you would be forced to exploit its weaknesses (which differ, there are multiple variants remember?), and then near the end you would run into all of them at once as a boss battle. Just because they were never mentioned again doesn't mean they are still in space. There's a three year gap between Metroid and Metroid Prime plotwise, and Samus could easily have taken care of those in the meantime. (Which would make a kick-ass interquel.) The reason Samus destroying those too is never mentioned aboard the Orpheon? Simple: They all lost contact. The three were splinter cells stranded from the Zebesian main force. Metroid (Zero Mission): Samus destroys Ridley, Kraid and Mother Brain, obliterates base and frigate on ground. Judging by Super Metroid's presence of a crashed ship (which is NOT the one in ZM), Samus took out two of 'em over the course of her adventure...or more likely... Between Zero Mission and Prime: Samus takes an escape pod from the exploding frigate into space...and runs into three more frigates. These are the Orpheon, Siriacus and Vol Paragon. As we all know, the Orpheon contains Ridley. It is revealed here that the Siriacus contains the deceased body of Kraid, being restored into Meta Kraid. They all can't blast away at once, so the Orpheon goes first, then the Siriacus. The Vol Paragon is last, but Samus makes it aboard. (and utterly annihilates it.) She then tracks down the Siriacus (who had split from the Orpheon to cover more space), and utterly annihilates it too. Metroid Prime: Samus takes out the Orpheon. ![]()

Re: The world needs Metroid 5Thunder, Stfu, your trying to screw with the main plot of my fangame. In my universe, they aren't found by samus until after fusion, and she goes on from there.

Re: The world needs Metroid 5I'm not trying to screw up your fangame. You can create whatever the fuck you want in your fangame, you can take my ideas or you can ignore them. Either way, I have the right to post ideas of my own. Whatever you say has no effect on what I say. I happen to have a different outlook on what happens, and I was expressing the differences between mine and yours. "Whatever you say goes" applies only to your fangame. You have no right to shut me up about it here on the forums. ![]()

Re: The world needs Metroid 5
I haven't played these games but from what I read they seem to be kinda...jokey? If that's the guy's strength as a writer then why is Other M such an angst filled game? |
|
Re: The world needs Metroid 5Who knows, he may have watched Twilight just before he wrote Other M. The angst corrupted him like a wild batch of Phazon and turned him into a plot-eating monster. You didn't offend, you merely infringed on my right to free speech. I tend to swear a lot too if I get that angry. If you have a problem with my idea, don't just tell me to "shut the fuck up", you tell me exactly what's wrong with it so I can refine it. ![]()

Re: The world needs Metroid 5Taking away Sakamoto's pen isn't an overreaction. Neither is taking him off Metroid because people who work for Nintendo have shown they can make just as good, if not better Metroid games than him.
Other M wasn't inspired by Samus Aran. It was inspired by Metroid Fusion. He didn't think about the consequences of his actions. He just thought 'this matches up with Metroid Fusion, so it's good enough for me.' If Sakamoto is all about 'making people happy' he'd remove the game/arc in question from canon, forcibly. Re: The world needs Metroid 5
Oh dude, seriously, it wasn't Twilight bad. That's just overly harsh. Oh god, I just threw up a little thinking about it. |

Re: The world needs Metroid 5I'm glad I have no idea what Twilight is about other random quotes I've heard.
