Xray statues after reset glitch.

I managed to pull off the reset glitch once and when I (equipped with all beams and upgrades except for hyper) went for some missiles that should not be accesible before you get morphball and defeat the bombs boss there were no missiles, but the statue scanned me with xray just like the things in brinstar before you get morph ball. I did not have a capture device, so I just pointed my camera at the screen when it happened. The battery in the cartridge ran out though, so the save data is gone.



Kind of a weird first post on a forum, but I just wanted to get this off my chest It's a fun little easter egg and I'm not sure if there are a lot of people out there that know this. I have seen another guy doing this too, so it is not a random glitch. Perhaps the devs put this in for those who try to cheat using a genie. It's not possible to collect these missles without first going down to brinstar and collecting the morphball (triggering the enemies to appear.)

Maybe there are more of these anti-cheat mechanisms built in. I don't know because I do not own a genie. I just happened to come across this when I did the reset-glitch.
