I think that they should bring him back. He is a giant lizard. I'm sure everyone has seen one of those nature shows about reptiles and they way they hunt. For the most part, they hunt by ambush so it would be a cool fight to have to fight an ambushing giant Kraid. Having a deceptively quick Kraid instead of a lumbering oaf would be a good change of pace. There is a lot of room for improvement with Kraid.

Did anyone else think that that three-eyed statue in Bryyo's thorn jungle looked a lot like kraid? For that matter, the vegetation in that area was also very reminiscent of him, and bipedal reptiles ARE dominant on that world.

I'm playing through MP3 now and I just beat Mogenar, like a minute ago. He is ALOT like Kraid, his face is what Kraid's should be like in 3D. Hell, a little re-skinning and he could be Kraid.
It's a definite possibility the Golem are based on Kraid, and that he originated on Bryyo, or that the Bryonians came into contact with him at some point at least. I imagine a fight with Kraid in 3D would be like Mogenar crossed with Omega Pirate, either that, or like the Parasite Queen.

It reminds me that Metroid Zero Mission was the first time I faced Kraid, and he was a huge pain in the ass, killing me 6 times (more than any other boss), mainly because I didn't have enough missles before the fight, and wasn't used to doghing all of his shit.
When I played Super Metroid later, I got to Kraid, and wolloped his ass in under a minute.

Life would be hard for a side hopper that has to hop on a WALL. (can't go through doors on the other wall.)
