Inverse: A Beam Attribute that isn't really an Attribute. It is in fact a modifier that can be added to certain weapon Attributes to make them perform opposite functions. (Only one Inverse Attribute at a time)
When applied to the Wave Attribute: Shots bounce off walls and metal objects until they hit an organic substance. When applied to the Ice Attribute: Shots become fireballs. When applied to the Plasma Attribute: Shots burn massive holes in whatever they hit instead of piercing. When applied to the Diffusion Attribute: Shots implode on contact.

Ahh, Yes. Well you could change the GFX of the beam you know? and the palette to make it look like a Dark Ball.

I did something like that. I called it the Gamma Beam, and it was inspired by the Gamma Cannon in Duke Nukem: Zero Hour. Anyway, I think I may be repeating myself with these beams, but whatever. Seismic Beam: This beam is made up of seismic waves, capable of generating waves of energy equal to that of an earthquake. Most enemies hit by this beam will suffer from severe convulsions before collapsing to death. Aero Beam: This beam produces a high gust of concentrated wind. Petra Beam: Enemies hit by this beam will be instantly petrified. Similarly to Samus' Ice and Dark Beam, she will be able to shatter her petrified enemy with a missile or charged shot. Temporal Beam: This beam will cause Samus' enemies to age at an accelerated rate. Acid Beam: This allows Samus to fire beams of a highly corrosive acidic compound. Base Beam: Although the opposite of acid, it is equally corrosive with the pH of 14.

More Valve-inspired madness! All controls are per Metroid Prime 3: Corruption control scheme with B and A buttons reversed from default. (A to jump, B to fire)
Portal Beam.
Samus can now create quantum tunnels through spacetime. By shooting at the walls, she can control where the enter and exit points are located and oriented. Each end is color-coded; one is surrounded by a blue ring, the other has an orange ring. Certain surfaces cannot accept Portals; these are metallic surfaces, glass, ice, and any surface too small to accommodate the Portal being placed. Portals cannot be fired through Portals, and force fields will block any attempt to shoot Portals through them. In addition, there exist special force fields that, should Samus pass through them, will close any open Portals. Only one Portal of each color can exist at a time; should another Portal of the same color as an existing one be created, the old one will be destroyed and a new link will be created.
Samus' Notes: The Portals created by my Arm Cannon allow for instantaneous two-way transmission of light and matter between two points in spacetime. Any object that passes through the Portals will conserve its mass, momentum and velocity. Portals cannot be placed on any submerged surface, but Portals are not affected when water passes through them.
Controls: B Button - Place the Blue Portal. Down Button - Place the Orange Portal.
Gravity Beam.
After integrating a Zero-Point Energy Module into her Arm Cannon, Samus can now use the laws of physics as a weapon! With everything from lending deadly telekinetic "punts" that knock objects back with tremendous force, to a telekinesis field that can pick up objects, now Samus can use her environments to her advantage. The gun cannot affect organic material in its normal mode; however, Samus can combine it with her Charge Beam, allowing her to charge up the Gravity Beam to cause more damage and affect organic materials. The telekinesis field is weak, picking up only the lighter objects and holding them just ahead of the Arm Cannon, but the punt is much stronger and can deal much greater amounts of force. Damage depends on range; the closer the object, the greater the damage.
Samus' Notes: With the Gravity Beam, I can bend the environment to my will. Everything from picking up objects and throwing them at my enemies to picking up metal plates to use as makeshift shields is possible thanks to this new feature. Organic material is unaffected by this weapon, unless I am either in Hypermode or if I use the Charge Beam in conjunction with the Gravity Beam.
Controls: B Button - Punt Down Button - Pick Up. Press again to drop or B to punt it.
Gel Dispersion Missiles.
Found in the environment and distributed onto surfaces via massive pre-installed pipes, Gels are physics objects that stick to surfaces and modify their physical properties. (See the "Gels" entry in this post, coming later.) Samus will acquire a modification that allows her to carry reserves of each kind of Gel, and with an easy selection menu, use the explosive power of her Missile Launcher to spread the Gels onto faraway surfaces. Gel Tanks exist that increase the amount of Gel she can carry.
Samus' Notes: The Gel Dispersion Missiles allow even more control of my environment. The Gels served me well coming out of TUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUBES, but the combination with my Missile Launcher allows even more convenience in distribution of these Gels where I need them to go.
Controls: Left Button (Hold): Superimpose Selection Wheel (just like Beam/Visor controls) Left Button (Tap): Revert to Basic Missiles. To Use - Fire a Missile. On impact, the Gel will spread in a circular radius, coating enemies and environments alike in the selected Gel.
Gels.
These "paint" the surface of anything they coat in a film of color-coded physical property modification. These can be washed off or burned away. The Gels are hard pressed to stick to any heated surface, and will absolutely refuse to adhere to any Teflon or Teflon-like surface. If this applies to a floor, it won't matter, but on a wall or ceiling it will simply run off onto the floor.
Logbook Entry (Scan Visor): Gels are special paints found in the environment that alter the outward physical properties of any object to which they adhere. They can be washed off by water, or burned off by fire. Several different types exist, each type is color coded.
Types of Gels: Red Gel: Refractive Gel. Any object or energy shot will bounce off. Portal shots are affected, as are non-Gel Missiles and any and all Beams. Enemy fire is also refracted, as well as any character who jumps into/lands on it. Alter your angle of attack to alter your angle of exit. Blue Gel: Sticky Gel. Any object that strikes it will adhere to it, like a giant sheet of fly paper. Dissipates all Beams. Missiles and Portals behave as normal on collision. White Gel: Conversion Gel. Any surface coated in this substance will accept a Portal, given its surface is large enough.
Traction Boots.
These render Samus immune to any effects of any Gel she steps on. Can be turned on or off at will. Also comes with a handy-dandy Traction Ball that works the same thing in Morph Ball mode.
Samus' Notes: This piece of Suit hardware allows me to be invincible to any Gel based attacks should my enemies or my environment use them against me. I can turn it off if I want the Gel to affect me. This works in Morph Ball as well.
Controls: 2 Button: Activate/Deactivate.
----------
Wii Controls for this hypothetical game are as follows:
Nunchuk: Control Stick: Move/Strafe C: Toggle Morph Ball Z: Lock on to Target | Grapple Beam
Wiimote: Pointer: Look/Turn | Aim A: Jump B: Fire Beam | Fire Blue Portal | Punt | (Held) Charge Beam | (Held and Press Down) Missile Combo (Beam/Missile Only) Down: Fire Missile | Fire Orange Portal | Pick Up/Drop Object | (Held) Seeker Missiles (Beam/Missile Only) Left: Previous Gel Missile Right: Next Gel Missile Up: Cancel Gel Missile + Button: (Held) Beam Selection Menu | (Tapped) Return to Beam/Missile - Button: (Held) Visor Selection Menu | (Tapped) Return to Combat Visor. 1 Button: Pause/Map Screen 2 Button: Toggle Traction Boots/Traction Ball

The Gravity Beam, huh? That reminds me of the Gravity Gun from Half-Life and the Antigrav Beam from Turok. That would be a great weapon. Incendiary Missile: This missile, packed with white phosphorus, will set Samus' enemies aflame upon impact. Spider Boots: Similar to the Spider Ball, this allows Samus to walk on any surface. I'll have to think of some more later.

What do you think inspired this weapon? And yes, yes it would make a great weapon.
Combustible Lemons: A replacement for the Bombs. For cosmetic purposes only.

I have a really cool idea for a Metroid upgrade attatched below. It's one my cousin and I came up with 6 years ago when we were both stimmed-up fans just dying for a Metroid Prime 3. (If we only knew!) The picture was drawn and written by my cousin. PLEASE DO NOT CRITICIZE THE POOR SPELLING ETC. THIS WAS MADE 6 YEARS AGO BY A 10-YEAR-OLD BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm... I don't know about a full suit, but a cloaking upgrade would certainly come in handy. The Disintegrater Beam seems a little redundant, though; unless you had a very specific effect in mind.
Don't be pushed by your problems. Be led by your dreams.

It seems to have the same qualities that I mentioned for the Shadow Suit on the previous page. We can all give credit to Retro Studios, of course. After all, Shadow Pirates do cloak themselves. My way of the Shadow Suit working is based on retro-reflective material, however. Considering the way the Spider Ball worked in MPT, it seems to run on some kind of electromagnet that Samus is capable of activating or deactivating. Because Samus' Power Suit contains biological components, I don't know if it's affected by magnetism. Anyway, to complement one of the four fundamental forces (Gravity Suit for gravitation, weak interaction, strong interaction), I thought I'd make the following. Electromagnetic (EM) Suit: The EM Suit allows Samus' Power Suit to generate a formfitting electromagnetic field, which protects her from EM manipulation. At the same time, the EM Suit lets her scale magnetic surfaces or anything with magnetism, and even float freely in locations that have electromagnetic fields. Damage is reduced by 60%. Vibra Suit: This suit upgrade cancels out vibrations and noise. This renders sonic weapons useless.

You're absolutely right about that. We scrapped the Disintegrator. The main focus of the drawing was on the suit. We had other cool ideas thugh, like the Absorbtion Beam, which absorbed health like the affinity effect of the Shock Coil in Hunters.

Engineer Suit.
This suit makes Samus compatible with the Sentry Gun, Aerial Drone, and Shoulder Cannon upgrades. Its targeting computer is also upgraded, meaning Samus' Missiles are smarter and are less easily fooled by countermeasures. Scan Visor scans take two-thirds the time they take normally and can hack into various protected computer systems it otherwise couldn't. Samus is also better protected from EMP and hackers. (*promptly flips off those damned Rezbits*) 30% damage reduction. Just for shits and giggles, the Engineer Suit also allows Samus' Arm Cannon to sprout a banjo neck, allowing her to play a taunt while leaning up against her Gunship, while her Sentry Gun, Aerial Drones, and Shoulder Cannon all rip her enemies to pieces around her.
Sentry Gun.
Using a full Energy Tank, Samus can erect this auto-targeting tripod-mounted Power Beam turret. She loses the Energy Tank, reducing her Energy capacity by 100 for the duration the Sentry remains active. Samus can also grant this turret some of her Missile Expansions (up to 5), reducing her Missile capacity but giving the sentry Missiles of its own. This Sentry has its own personal shield, upgradable using the Varia and Gravity Suits just like the Power Suit. Samus can use her Grapple Voltage to repair the Sentry, and if she has Missiles on hand, she can reload its Missiles from her ammunition reserve as well. If the Sentry is destroyed, Samus can recover her Missile Expansions and Energy Tank by returning to where it was. She can also demolish it herself, recovering the Energy Tank (and all of its remaining Energy) and Missile Expansions (and any remaining Missiles). Only one of these sentries can be erected at a time. While it is active, a gauge in one of the corners of the HUD reads out the Energy and Missile count of the Sentry. Its location will also be marked on the map with a blip.
Aerial Drones.
Works on the same principle as a Sentry Gun, but Samus has three of them. Each one is small enough that all three can dock on Samus' back. While they are active, Samus can command them to form up around her, attack whatever she is shooting, move to a position (indicated by aiming), or autonomously attack targets. She can choose which of the three individual Drones are active at a time (each one has an individual Energy bar), and each one holds up to 50 Energy. This capacity for Energy doubles as a Reserve Tank while it is docked, and it recharges from Samus' Energy reserves. The Drones are armed with Power and Grapple Beams, and can function as remote cameras. Their Grapple Beams allow them to Ship Grapple lesser objects, work together for heavier payloads, or Samus can use the Drones as ad-hoc Grapple Swing Point. Should a Drone run out of Energy, it will drop to the ground disabled. This location is marked on the map. Samus must walk over it to recover it. Note that some enemies, like Rezbits, can hack into the Drones and use them against Samus. Just destroy the offending enemy and your drones are yours once more. Their nimbleness allows them to flit about and dodge enemy fire.
Shoulder Cannon.
Another Arm Cannon, this one mounted on her shoulder. This one isn't a shoulder-mounted piece, strictly speaking, but it fires over the shoulder. To cover a wider field of view, this gun is actually mounted onto a special backpack via a robotic arm. It can thus switch which shoulder it fires over. It is a machine gun compatible with any Beam weapon, Missiles cannot be used by this system. It runs off of its own regenerating energy supply. Like the Drones, it can be set to autonomous fire, defensive fire, or offensive fire.

Numeral Beam - This allows Samus to shoot Numbers. Yes, Numbers. Samus will shoot anything between 1-9, which ever Number is shot damages the Enemy by that number x100. That means if you shoot at 9 it will be 9 x 100, 900 or 9000, I don't quite remember. The numbers fired will always be random, and the high the number, the rarer. This means 7-9 will be extremely rare. But 9 the rarest. funny beam, but strong.
