Don't listen to anyone else. She gets derezzed. End of Line ...........I actually did think an idea myself, though it sounds kinda dumb: Trace Missle: A Missle that you can direct by aiming after firing it. it can be used to solve ceratain puzzles and damage enemies that are heavily armored from the front/top. Similiar to the rocket launcher from Half Life 2, only a lot more controllable.
Just like the rocket launcher in the original Metal Gear. I like it!

Double Switch Cannon
Samus arm cannon become double barreled, capable of firing currently selected beam,or combination of it(Super Metroid and some others tha can combine beams),and missiles at same time, not a needed ability to progress, but a powerful attack
Skis Boots
Samus can run over water surface, but only if she get a distance enough to perform speed boost(do not need have speed booster to do,only get the same distance),and cannot charge shots, and if take damage Samus will fall
Absolute Suit
Samus Varia suit protects from heat areas,Gravity protects from lava and unlock a water freely movement, but Absolute Suit protects from the deep acid lava from Norfair(Super Metroid)
Space Ball
In morph ball mode Samus can jump forever like in normal mode.Good for narrow mazes
If i was in Metroid universe, i would marry Samus, and if i could choose an ability,Speed Booster would be mine. Finally i got all ending pictures,Metroid Fusion JP Version Completed

Mind elaborating what you mean by "powering her suit"? Does she gain health? Gain strength/endurance? Or does she temporarily steal the abilities of the monster she consumed?

Doesn't she do that in most of the games sort of anyway?

She can fill special Reserve Tank like storage units. She can later on spend that unit to steal that ability (Soul Trapping a Geemer and spending it will cause Samus' suit to grow spikes, increasing her armor protection and melee damage, and in Morph Ball use the spikes to climb walls, for example). Or, if the ability is redundant with an upgrade she already has, she can spend it to recharge an Energy Tank or manufacture 10 more Missiles.
So, all three of your guesses are correct. Samus gets to choose what to do with the trapped souls she has. Effect strength, type and duration are dependent on the creature being absorbed.
I imagine being able to store an upgradable number of these creatures.

Grapple PowerKick
Samus grabs an enemy towards her, and kicks it's ass literally. This move is absolutely stomping and makes Mother Brain shit her pants.

Yeah, I can imagine Samus grappling enemy and yanking him into a swift-kick. Though it would be a hell of a lot cooler if the kick took his legs clean off, leaving him to bleed to death.
Space Ball
Samus' Morph Ball becomes a literal pinball. She can bounce around, off of walls and ceilings and platforms and whatnot. She can even perform Morph Ball wall jump! Think Superball here, and you'll get my idea.
Shaqball
When activated, Shaquille O'Neal will appear out of nowhere and begin dribbling Samus' Morph Ball. The player can control Shaq in passing or three-pointing Samus, useful for some puzzles or to fight certain bosses. Especially those ghosts of the Chozo Heat.
The Chozo were planning a David Beckham version, but never finished such a system.

Xenomorph mode: Samus transforms into a queen alien and kills people with her second mouth. Troller mode: samus transforms into and obliterates everything on screen, except bosses, or that antivirus program : problem? EDIT: during the first minute of the battle, before Ghor activates the antivirus program use troller mode. super effective against Ghor.

Guess I will throw mine in here...
Lightsear
The Lightsear is the only reflector shield of its kind. It is more or less a highly powerful starship-class reflector shield modified for use by individual personell. The nature of the molecular structure of the shield allows for a quick flash of light to reflect any type of projectile. The shield takes some time to recharge, so it cannot be on at all times. It can only be activated for a fraction of a second, so it must be very well-timed when used.
This is used in my game right now and I still use the same effect I have been using since the 1.0 Tech Demo. It has proven to be an amazing addition to my game and a great original idea in my opinion.
You can actually see it in heavy use here!:

So, the Pyro's airblast? That would be awesome if it were a feature of a Gravity Gun type weapon.

The following upgrades are metroid prime style.
Aurora Beam: A charge combo that combines all 4 beam types into a super powered attack. It is performed by charging the power beam to full, continue holding until it auto cycles through all beams, then fire a missle. The beam uses 4 missle ammo per second and does the equivalent damage to 1 super missile per second. It appearence looks like the Aurora Borealis in a solid beam.
Gorrila Rocket: A stronger version of the super missile, to use charge the power beam to full, then press and hold the missile button. The rocket will then charge even further, when it turns black release it, it does the equivalent damage of 3 super missiles, and has a time delay sticky feature; on impact it sticks to the enemy for 3 seconds before detonation.
Legion Suit: A suit that creates holo-graphic clones of Samus as she walkes confusing all but the smartest of enemies. the only drawback is that boost-ball, and screw-attack can't be used. (they interfears with the holo-projectors)
What do you guys think?

I definitely like the sound of the first one, the Aurora Beam. Also known as the Boss Squasher?

Again Metroid Prime style: The Goliath Suit; Made from stolen Space Pirate tech, this suit look like the Iron-Monger suit from the iron man movie and the War Machine suit from the second iron man movie, but sans; repulsers, flight capabilities. Samus' Notes: "While this suit is incredibly strong I can't use my morph-ball or screw-attack, but the sheer strength, fire power, and jump height make up for it." My Notes: "This suit is the S***! ", and this suit has no mroph ball because it would be the size of a large motorcycle, and it can't bend enough to do the screw attack or spin jump so its jump jets are super charged allowing it to jump twice as high.
