Unfortunately, you're wrong on both accounts. The game still has the left and right side sprites still in the ROM, but they were never used. Lots of RAM/ASM hacking would be required for this to be made functional, and I know pretty much jack shit about that. If it's any consolation, the thought did cross my mind while working on it. As I've said elsewhere, I'm done with MDbtroid. I lost all my notes anyway after I reformatted my HD, so there's no going back to it.

Hey IE, do you have any plans to create a menu and map screen for M2?

I don't think IE made the menu or map screen.

I'm not sure if this was mentioned, but I just had a thought... Could this game be put on a cartridge? See, I found this website: http://nesreproductions.com/And I was thinking of how cool it would be to play this game on a cart, especially if you could include the LUA script. Can it be done?

It's been mentioned. No, it cannot be put on a cartridge, and the LUA script cannot be added. I didn't just change the game's art - the code was also pretty much hacked to shreds, so there's a possibility it wouldn't work anyway (but hey I could be wrong). Furthermore, I don't want anyone to make money off of this hack, so I would probably not want it to be made in the first place.

For anyone out there that may be using a Wii emulator, someone has modded the FCEUX emulator by tantric to make use of Cover Art for each game. I made one for MDbtroid:

Well for me, whenever I get an item, I just get a plan white rectangle.

Interestingly enough, if you try to "highlight" the rectangle like you would highlight some text in a document, with your mouse, it will reveal the text.
I thought it an interesting quirk/bug, but it didn't stop me from navigating the menu and beating the hack.

No other way I can explain it. I could highlight the text using my mouse while playing the hack.

Not sure which emulator is being used, but I play it on JNES. I can use my mouse cursor as long as it's not on fullscreen.

Unfortunately making hacks doesn't work that way. I do not have to conform my software to someone else's script. Since I released the hack, Neil Corlett has UPDATED his LUA Script to work with the latest version of FCEUX, which is 2.1.5 as far as I can tell. So try updating FCEUX first before coming here and demanding that I should update this hack.
