Like the thread title said we - a Metroid Mod for the source engine - are looking for some more skilled people to help us bringing this mod to the Source engine.
It all started back in 2004 as a Mod for Halo CE (Metroid Online Mapping Team), there have been several released maps and a lot of stuff created for it.
I used to be part of the old team, but the other members have moved on, leaving the torch for me to carry... I found some other people who were willing to help, and the new team was born. And since that time, we began working on it again.
But since the Halo CE community is more or less dead and certain limitations of the engine couldn't be solved in order to bring the best Metroid experience to PC, end of last year the decission of switching to the Source engine was made.
In fact we've started allmost from scratch and we're going to create every piece of our assets on our own.
We do not use any model or texture rips.

Our plan is to create a Metroid Multiplayer Mod (SP might be an option later on) and we're working on that with effort and enthusiasm and we allready managed to put together a team (about 8 ppl), which wasn't that easy due the fact we decided to not expose ourself that much to the public in order to avoid a C&D.
I'm writing here because we could use a few more talented ppl such as:
modellers, texture artists, a concept artist, an additional coder (preferably C++ and allready familiar with Microsoft Visual Studio) and a composer.
Since there are a lot of ppl here who are familiar with 2D-Art and coding and ofc. a lot of Metroid Fans, i hope there'll be at least a few comments and at best a few ppl which are interrested.
Previouse experience with Source engine is not required, but you should be willing to learn a few basic things about source (e.g. texture converting and material creation if you're a texture artist).

As you might have noticed, pic 1 & 2 were made in Goldeneye Source but it was just a temporary solution for WNxKraid to test and tweak the model and textures till our own base mod is ready to work with (and ofc. you need maps with lightning to test advanced texture stuff).
This mod has no relation to GES others then that he is also working on this mod team.
We can use all the good help we can get, but we specifically are looking for a coder who's able to help us to bring this mod to life. If you're interrested to be the lead coder of our mod you should be able to:
write and compile C++ code
work with Microsoft Visual Studio
previouse experience with source engine coding is also a plus, but not a requirement.
