I'm not sure how well it will actually work, but it's a start. Also the barrel of the potato cannon kind of looks like the arm cannon. So it's a possibility.
I'm just going to make it from scratch I think haha. My electronics guy is working on lighting patterns and what we're gonna use for the actual lights in the cannon. Wheee~
Potato cannons ARE made from scratch. Normally you have to build them using things like tubes, air compressors, and valves. You can pick up the parts from all sorts of places. That's how my science teacher built his.

Ahh, I didn't know if it was some american thing or something haha. Regardless I don't think it'd be classed as con safe if it shot potatos at people. Though that could be awesome I've been thinking about how to do the missile function and I think that the MP1 style missile cannon would be fairly straightforward to do. Luckily with Iron Man theres now a ton of tutorials and resources on animatronics and mechanics in costume building.

Thanks! I've been looking around for shots since I got back from Baltimore. I think my favorite so far is this one with nobody paying any attention:

That's both amazing and hilarious at the same time, I mean, look at Ridley's face, and everything, and then all he people around him. Makes a good laugh.

Wow, seeing pixelated Ridley lifesized really puts him in perspective. He really is an imposing figure.

Mewtwo wrote:Your Ridley looks AMAZING just saying! Can't wait to see more photos of it. Seriously every time you just keep getting better and better- I wish I could do that much within three costumes! As it is I've been making 5 in the last two months and I think I've just gotten worse...
I'm starting plans for a Varia Suit, after all my current plans and everything gets wrapped up. My question is- what kind of functions would make a Varia Suit go from cool to incredible? Already I'm going to have gas jets out the boosters on the back, lit by some blue leds, and fully automated lights and light patterns, and possibly plans in motion for an arm cannon that can move between normal and missile functions.
Oh and I've been thinking about how to make an awesome fusion suit, complete with creepy pulsating fleshlike parts. .... And I wonder why I don't have any money!
Awesome idea- So you're really not paif for all your works????? LesserChozo wrote:Wow, seeing pixelated Ridley lifesized really puts him in perspective. He really is an imposing figure.
I agree, it's really AMAZING!!!!

I really don't like costumes made of latex or of metallic/shiny spandex/pvc, because thats not really what the references look like :<
This post is far away from here, but I completely agree. I don't really like it too, and I'm a fan zero suit Samus since Brawl's out

You can post as much as you want as long as you're on topic, but you're still double posting. If you have more to say you can always edit your post.
