Prime series sound effects and iPhone sound theme.

I decided to merge my threads to keep things simpler and more organized.

I am currently recording sound effects from the Prime games and I will share them here for anyone to use. Any help is appreciated.
I am also making a sound theme with these effects for the Apple iPhone. So this thread will also be for those who want to use it, try it out as I make it or have opinions on what sounds should be used for what purpose.


I will update the respective sound posts as I get complete sets of sounds.

I will update the theme once a sound is replaced.

Metroid Prime sound effects:

Apparently I can't add more then 10 files to any post. So the ice and wave beam will have to wait untill I get all the beam effects and can upload them as a single file.

Current state: Functional, first version will be available for download soon.


Replaced Sounds:


Docking the phone:
Save Station - Signal (I replaced the full save station sound because it was too long, laud and annoying in practice)

Taking a picture:
Recording to logbook

Start recording (Video and sound):
Scanning - Initiate (Short)
(The sound when the scan visor is turned on.)

Stop recording (Video and sound):
Recording to logbook

Receiving text message (open conversation):
Metroid Prime 3 - text
(The sound when text is being typed on the screen)

Sending text message (open conversation):
Elevator - Start
(Sounds like a heavy version of the original one, I might replace it with the "Text" from Prime 1 though, it's louder then the text from Prime 3.)

Unlock:
Map - Open
(The sound when opening the map screen.)
(just fits so well but I haven't decided on this one. I have a cut version of "Doors Unlocked" which just says "Unlocked" that's kind of fun. Also the "Galactic Federation Login - Access Granted" sound fits pretty well.)

Lock:
Map - Close

Numeric buttons:
Currently not replaced.
(I'm thinking about using the "Galactic Federation Login" Key" sound.)

Calling sound:
HUD - Transmission (Point of interest)

User busy:
HUD - Transmission (Current Location)

Low Battery:
Energy Low -This one needs to be replaced, it's a fun idea but horrible to listen too when it actually happens.

I have not listed all the sounds yet.

Added "Ringtones":
(I decided to add these sounds as ringtones instead of replacing original sounds since they would get stupidly non-logic names and they can be changed inside the phone to represent certain events)

Can you please add all the beam upgrades from prime 1? I'm relying on you to get the official sound effects so I can release my AOS mod without a million fans breathing down my neck
