Thanks. Don't worry, he doesn't use lightsabers or the Force. Are blaster guns OK? They seem more suitable than fire weapons in the Metroid universe.

a blaster gun would be fine especially since our unarmed Samus uses one, I will also allow the use of swords (of the energy or steel type) as it will allow for a more extensive line of weaponary at everyone's disposal, this being based off of SSB's use of weapons like the beam sword.

You might have noticed that Master's gun has a beam/energized bayonet.

If we're in the year 2063 could we get a date relative to some significant event in the Metroid timeline? (ie. X no. of earth years after Fusion.) The only dates that we know of using this calander are 2000, the founding of the Galactic Federation, and 20X5, when the Federation discovered SR388, collected metroid specimens and promptly had them stolen by Space Pirates thus throwing the Galaxy into a state of panic. (Way to go guys! ) Since this calander uses numbers and letters in it's dating system and since we don't know what they actually base their "years" on it's difficult to determine when anything takes place relative to one another.

I vote for retconning so that it goes with that timeline we have in the features section.

You'll have to forgive me i'm not to familiar with "retconning" however timeline wise, 20 years out sounds about right. You figure Samus would be toward the end of her bounty hunter career allowing Lana to "take over". Whether this happens in the story will depend on 1 if Samus comes into it or 2 if Samus is dead.

After all, Samus does have Chozo Blood and this may have extended her normal lifespan past a normal humans limits.

If anyone knows how to convert 2063 into the GFP's cosmic calendar, I definetly welcome that, but I'm not familiar with the equation that would be necessary, i think there was an old thread that discussed this, though that may have been before the move from boardhost.

Story seems to be going pretty good so far ^_^

Ah, I looked up the timeline in the featurres section. I had never seen it before but it seems to be fairly solid when it comes to providing dates relative to one another, though I always pictured the Federation being substantially older than a mere 75 "years." Of course trying to make sense of the year 20X5 is still difficult since we don't know how a calander with LETTERS in the date is suppossed to work.

I think I should point out that the Chozo blood in Samus' veins probably won't alter her lifespan nearly as much as the X-parasite attack and subsequent metroid vaccination does. Considering she is at least partially a metroid after Fusion she could be ageless, constantly regenerating her genetic structure. Of course that's a best case scenario, there might be some other side effects that could come as a result, possibly INHERITABLE traits.

Everyone at YCP knows I'm a huge nerd already, so I don't care if they read this.

Here are the bios of the characters I added to the story, Commander Tu'r Nagha, Torizo, and Frul and Rulgrun.


Commander Tu'r Nagha:
Space Pirate Commander of the SP Chatturgha
Age: Unknown, but it seems that he is a seasoned Space Pirate veteran.

Tu'r is a commander of some renown among what's left of the Space Pirates, and is considered a high threat to the Federation, as he is one of the few Pirate Commanders still in command of a serious SP battleship, the Chatturgha. He is a proud Zebesian Pirate. When he was just a recruit, he saw glimpses of the famed Hunter, and actually fired a few shots at the Hunter, whom didn't pay any mind to the inexperienced recruit.

He is a bright-crimson Zebesian, and is proud of the glorious history that the Space Pirates posess. However, he is also aware of the desparate situation the Space Pirates are in today, and is often brooding and contemplative because of this. However, he tries to instill among his loyal crew the true zeal and prowess of being a Space Pirate.

Frul
N'Kren
Age: Unknown

The N'Kren are octopedal creatures, much like the octopi of Earth. They are an extremely advanced race, on par with the Chozo, Ylla, and Luminoth.

A short and extremely muscular N'Kren, Frul is a N'Kren renouned among his kind of his strength. He also posesses uncommon clarity and sharp-thinking, making him the easy choice as leader of any N'Kren operations. He is ambitious, and with his partner, Rulgrun, they hope to use the events happening on the Federation Research Station on Planet Fraizee to bring about the N'Kren as the dominant force in the galaxy. He sees most beings in terms of how he can use them for his benefit and the advancement of his plans. The only people he sees as close to his equals are Rulgrun (although Frul sees that Rulgrun is not as smart or cunning as himself, but has his uses), and perhaps Torizo.

Rulgrun
N'Kren
Age: Unknown, though it seems he is older than Frul

Rulgrun is Frul's partner, and together, they hope to use the Fraizee as the starting point of a N'Krennian take-over of the galaxy. He is more slender and elognated than Frul, and is not much one for physical combat. He prefers using others (like Frul) and his own intellect to fight his battles for him, and is a fairly calculating N'Kren. Despite all of this, he has an incredible mean streak, and enjoys causing damage and harm to species that he considers "un-enlightened", which are all but the Advanced Ones. In that respect, he is cruel in that he finds sick amusement from the harming of weaker creatures. He considers Frul to be his closest companion, and believes that he and Frul will easily bring their scheme to a smashing success soon.

He has heard of the Bounty Hunter Samus Aran, and while impressed at its ferociousness, believes it being far too weak to cause any damage to an Enlightened Being like Rulgrun.

"Torizo"
Chozo
Age: Unknown, but is guessed to be incomparably old in human years.

"A statue, a silent reminder of my species... Torizo..."
That is how the enigmatic Chozo introduces himself to business, and not much is known about him, not even his real name. He is one of the last few corporeal Chozo in the universe, and might even BE the last. His motivations and purpose for contacting several parties as to the events conspiring on Fraizee is unknown, but most all who come in contact with him reportedly sense a cold and ominous vibe from him...

Name: Troy Scorpion
Age: 54 in GF documents, but looks much older.
Gender: Male
Occupation: Galactic Federation Scientist
Height: 4'2"
Weight: 110 Ibs
Hair: Almost bold

BIO: Despite his weird obsessions, Troy is still one of Federations best scientists. Many of the Federations armor and weapon desings are originally his. Troy is usually quiet, well-mannered and awfully nervous. However everything changes when he gets inside his favourite powersuit model Ω aka. rotalihinnA narA. Unlike other scientists Troy is eager to prove his skills in battlefield rather than in laboratory.

Giant, cylindrical arms with several points of articulation, covered at the top by unwieldy black shoulderpad components. Large metal-constructed hands with 4 very sharp, claw-like digits. Short legs with three points of articulation and large, black metal feet.
Abilities: Enormous physical strenght, torso rotates 360 degrees, boosters on back allow hovering and short flights.
Weapons: Powerful punches, piercing claws, gatling guns, flamethrowers, missile launchers and lasers.

BIO: RotalihinnA narA is Troys favourite weapon. This enormous battle armour was designed for maximum offensive capabilities. It is filled with most powerful federation weaponry. Despite its size, rotalihinnA narA is surprisingly fast. While rotating torso and powerful boosters give it good mobility it lacks defensive capability. RotalihinnA narA also features advanced A.I allowing it work alone. When small, timid Troy glimbs on this walking weapon, his size and attitude gets big.


Notes: You can use my characters any time you want as long as you don´t change Troys attitude or destroy his robot. But if you destroy the robot then Troy must go with it.

BIO: He was trained since young by his father, Bartholomew Holmer Sr., to join the military. Ever since he joined the Neutralizer's crew as an officer, he was Thrawc's favorite. He now is commanding the Chiss Capital Ship in orbit above Fraizee while Thrawc is assisting Ezekiel Masters.
