the front page wrote:But on the other hand, you don't see reactions with this kind of quality happen very often. The last game series that I can think of that caused such an uproar in the fanbase was for Mass Effect 3, and what did Bioware do? They acknowledged their fans' concerns. I don't quite ever remember Nintendo releasing public statements to their fans about the negative reactions, other than a very blanketed, "We're interested in hearing your opinions," only shortly after the game's release.
Never thought I'd see the day when Bioware had better PR than Nintendo. Then again...

I know it's late, but I hope Infinity's End you had a nice birthday celebration, and I wish a belated happy birthday to you! You've done a lot with Cap and Jesse D, and JP, making sure MDB is the best Metroid resource on the web, so I want you to know i definitely appreciate it!

Cool new bestiary entries, as always~ and the debug menu find has a lot of potential in terms of just totally messing with Metroid: Fusion.
Like, what if you fight Yakuza right away? Or get to the boiler before the appointed time in-game? Probably nothing but a bunch of crashed games, but it would be fun to see!

That was one of the first things I tried. There's a dead Zoro husk in the way that won't let you get past. I think after a certain event occurs, that husk is gone, allowing you to pass through. If you think about it - it's highly likely there's nothing that you can do that hasn't been already done by the dev testers.

I guess they really fine-tuned that over the GBA installations.
You get the sense in the NES Metroid that there really wasn't a huge allocation of time and energy into hard play-testing!
There's probably something overlooked though. A guy can dream!

I wonder why? But yeah, I guess there won't be anything really interesting coming out from this (aside from this being interesting on its own). I remember that years ago, when I played Zero Mission on an emulator, I tried some cheats to activate all power-ups from the start. However, the game became unplayable because some events (like Chozo statues sitting down or bosses appearing, if I'm not mistaken) wouldn't happen when you needed them to.

Anyone play the new AM2R demo? I really loved some of the new toys in the water area and the Arachnus boss fight.

Hadn't noticed that post about the albums, but there's a pretty serious bug in it: Capcom wrote:The album was arranged by Hyde209 (aka Sebastian Martensson, who won second prize in our most recent contest),
Wrong Metroid fan, Cap. Sebastian's a musician who participated in Harmony of a Hunter. I'm his friend and fan, so I found it really weird that something of his would come out without me knowing. Thomas Johansson is the right one. Can't wait to check it out, though.

Thank you guys for having information about the 31 days of Zero Suit up in the main news posts. I had my eye on that ever since I saw the creator's video, and today I have an order in. It's going to look very nice alongside my guides for Hunters, Super and Echoes.

I've been 'round the net more than once, heard what I thought to be every slur and curse imaginable, but today was the first time I've ever heard godfucker before. Brilliant. Frakin' brilliant.
The last metroid is in captivity. All's well in the galaxy.

Are you sure? It looks like they changed it to Super Mario World.
