I think that's the best part to be honest. I'm fueled with excitement to see what you all have come up with.

Re: General Contest Thread
We would prefer if you just did normal-type enemies. Bosses are usually more grandiose and ornate; it may give people an unfair advantage. |

Re: General Contest Thread
Aw... I already started a boss . Meh , I'll finish it anyway. |

Re: General Contest Thread
Chozo, you always take words out of my mouth. I love to see people's creative works, cause, it amuses me to see what a man/woman's mind can come up with. Thanks CC For The Sig!"Statement: Oh, do shut up, you beeping little trash compactor." ―HK-47 to T3-M4 |

Re: General Contest ThreadI have two more small questions:
1. In the 1st contest it was required to add in the 'MDb' logo to our entries. Is this still required in this contest? 2. Do we need to put our username on our entry or are we fine just giving it in the email? |
|
Re: General Contest Thread
adding the logo is not required. but if we find out you stole someone else's art, you'll obviously be disqualified. username in the email is fine. |
|
Re: General Contest ThreadI have a question. I forgot to put my mailing address in my entry. Can I just send it to the contest email address? Sorry...

|
Re: General Contest Thread
Since we'll be only asking the winners for their mailing address after the contest is over, it is not needed at this time. Thanks. |

Re: General Contest ThreadInfinity, is it alright if I post some ideas out here? I'm not entering the contest anyway and they won't be full fledged descriptions, just ideas.

Re: General Contest ThreadHowdy!
I had entered a submission for the Design An Enemy contest, but was not a member when I submitted it. I wasn't sure if membership was mandatory or not, so I went ahead a created an account. I don't particularly care if I win or not, as I only did it for fun (it's not high quality stuff, mind you). My question is do I really need to be a member (not that I have anything against it)? If so, my submission did not contain my username what with me having no sense of prescience. Would I need to send a second e-mail to the contest e-mail address, or can my entry be matched to me based off the e-mail address it was sent from (it was submitted from the same e-mail address that I used to register for an account)? If membership is only a requisite for winning, do I really need do anything at all since my primary interest was just to contribute? Thanks! |

Re: General Contest ThreadNo membership to the MDb forum (or anything else, for that matter) is required beyond what has ALREADY BEEN STATED IN THE RULES.

Re: General Contest ThreadNow, I didn't really read all the posts here, but might it be alright if I have two creatures? I mean, not as separate entries. They both are different, however, the picture of my creature is attacking the other creature in it.

Re: General Contest ThreadI might have missed these questions previously:
The rules state "2.Use any static, 2D visual medium to depict your enemy". Does that mean animated gifs aren't allowed? And also, how many individual files will you accept for a single entry? Don't be pushed by your problems. Be led by your dreams.
|
|
Re: General Contest ThreadIf you want to animate it, go ahead. You can submit as many files as you want.

Re: General Contest ThreadA couple of questions:
1. Is it alright if I photoshop in a picture of Samus just for scale? I would prefer not to have to re-draw Samus 2. About how long would you like the explanations to be? 3. Is it alright if an entry contains two creatures that cooperate? Man is the lowest-cost, 150-pound, nonlinear, all-purpose computer system which can be mass-produced by unskilled labor.
